I'm applying for a job at an editorial office for gaming content...but the company is doing a lot of stuff. I just always think it's nicer to have a proper picture, I guess it's pretty common around here. plus tbh I just downloaded this application template and it had the spaces for the pics already installed.

It is, archaic but wide spread. Now the problem is 'normal' photos have a different proportion of what is shown of the applicant (usually at least the upper body in formal/professional attire).

Weird hey. Every so often I'll get a client in with a photo on their resume and/or cover letter, and unless it's a role that benefits from a beauty shot it just seems so archaic to me. I never advise clients to stick a photo on their CV.

I just looked up the Australian stats, 175.6 cm and 85.9 kg for men, 161.8 cm and 71.1 kg for women.

This is actually a bad example, anyway. You get all of the information you need to enjoy ESB from the movie itself. ANH is actually kind of shit. ROTJ too. ESB and to a somewhat lesser extent EP7 are the only SW movies that are actually good movies outside of nostalgia IMO.
