Look into the V.A.N.S. perk.
Req. INT 1
The path to your closest quest target is displayed in V.A.T.S.
Well the quest target is the plant itself, so that doesn't help at all. I just found a new room that was totally obtuse to reach. Finally finished 1 1/2 hours >_<

Spent a good hour in the character creator only to forget to change my name (and not be prompted). Fucking INFURIATING.

How? You are forced to input a name when the Vault-Tec guy makes you put points into your SPECIAL attributes(I know this, because I forgot to input a name and it wouldn't let me continue), and you get prompted to change stuff before you leave the vault too.

holy shit went into a store and found myself against sooooo many feral ghouls. It was crazy. D: Luckily something exploded and took care a decent bit of them after me trying to strafe and shotgun them.

I'm surprised how little personality the story has to it about 6 hours in. The only thing I even remember is the news lady, pretty much the only memorable performance so far too.

I don't think you can but not 100% sure. Your companion uses their own ammo.

You have to send them back to your safe home or just part ways.

As long as you activate a workshop, it's connect to all your supplies.

Ok I guess I will have to look at the dogs commands better because i didn't see any options like that.

"Kill all raiders" Fuck that type of quest, when the location is bigger than some games. >_>
I've been searching this fucking assembly plant for an hour now and it still doesn't finish the quest.

Corvega right? I spent a good hour or so trying to find their leader. That place is NIGHTMARE MAZE. I remember accidentally finding the leader by going through a small stairway that's WAY too easy to miss.

In the Giant Bomb Quicklook, I'm pretty sure Dan said it actually points you to individual targets in the case of "Kill all X" type missions.

I've found a bunch, but the wackiest one was a knive that does more damage the less armor you're wearing.

The special perk legendary weapons are pretty awesome, there's also a switchblade that does more damage the more chems you're addicted to. Perfect if you're roleplaying a character.

I've yet to finish Fallout 3 and New Vegas (having only played and beaten Fallout 1 and 2 multiple times), please convince me not to spend money on Fallout 4. :/

Forgive me if this has been covered, but what exactly are the benefits of building settlements?

I think the best benefit is being able to setup your own stores of various kinds (weapons, armor, chems etc.) and afaik you get periodic profits out of them too. I'll definitely spam weapon vendors later on so I'll have easier access to bullets (which you can't seem to be able to craft now).

I dont remember radiation being this fucking annoying or prevalent in past games. I feel like every 5 minutes my health bar has been reduced halfway because of radiation. Radaway is expensive

That's disappointing. The
journalist scene made me think that there would only be more interesting characters throughout the game, not that it would be the highlight.
That said, I enjoyed the
hydroponic facility robots.

Absolutely in love with this game. How could i even have been slightly doubting Bethesda Game Studios? So far no bugs and no framedrops and ugly graphics? Hell no. Are these graphics up to today's standards? Not really, but at times i find them damn nice. The vault for example looks great, what an immense difference with Fallout 3, not to speak of how characters in general look. Or the animations of them. Again....they may be considered ok'ish compared to many current gen games, but this IS a huge improvement over Fallout 3 and Skyrim and for an old ass engine i find this quite impressive.

ugly? Pfffffftt.

Andre Agassi got trapped in da vault?

If no one has answered you, have you gone outside and all the way to the top of the stairs? there's a dude hiding out up there

So are Legendary enemies completely random occurrences? Had to fight a Legendary Ghoul pretty early on. Killed him, and got a
wrench that does huge bonus damage to ghouls.
Felt so good.

It's easier just to go to a doctor every once in a while and spend something like 40 caps. That way Radaway can be used in emergencies.

I just skipped that mission until I can get some better gear. It's a really, really tough mission when you're playing on Very Hard.

Thanks! That makes sense. I couldn't find any on it for the life of me.

Plans for the first 30 levels (you can easily hit 10 by doing crafting a lot before you even reach the first mission). Infiltrator glass cannon.

It really helps to plan out your build like this to think about what is useful.

likeing it sooo far... but had 2 crash to menus on ps4.. plus the settlement building is combersome and doesnt really work that great...

lol only on the second mission 7 hours in...:P

So guys....just drop off all my junk at Sanctuary?

Do all workshops get the same junk materials I drop off in the Sanctuary?

yes and if you die against them and head back to the same spot, there is no guarantee they will spawn again. That being said I died trying to kill a legendary mirelurk. Went back to it and instead the game gave me 2 legendary wild Mongrels -.-

I was going to avoid the settlement building but for caught up in it for over an hour. Just wondering around and NOT going in interesting areas made me realize that 400 hours is totally going to happen.

It does, I used it to find the last guy in the corvega plant and finish the quest. You hold down the VATS button and it highlights the path in green. Very useful.

Over 400K concurrent on Steam and it is still rising.

This is new record for non Valve game (GTA V was previous holder with over 360K).

Surprised to hear some think the voice acting is bad, I thought it's been pretty good thus far.
The leader of the Minutemen, the guy you can recruit, is particularly mediocre, he sounds like an Oblivion voice actor. Why they wouldn't put a decent actor in a role so front and center, who knows.

It's amazing compared to previous Beth games IMHO, which is good enough for me, but I'm under no illusions that it's actually anything special. Which is not surprising at all considering how much content has to be voiced in this game. They had to pick quantity over quality, but at least the quality is good enough that the voice acting is hard to listen to like the previous games were.
