Fucking Veronica. She thinks it's a good idea to attempt to solo a pack of Deathclaws with melee. :lol

It does and it's horrible. Make sure you have à pc that can run the game at a constant 60 fps. I don't so i can hardly stand playing but it's Steam so i can't sell itAgentOtaku said:Anyone know if the PC version still has the Gamebryo/iFPS Clamp engine stuttering issue?
I'm assuming it does, but just thought I'd ask...
I'd say 360, because it runs better and it will get the DLC first.finalozzo said:ok ok, maybe i'll buy it. 360 or PS3? (not pc because my is no good :-|)
That's something that happens in all of Bethesda's games on 360/PS3. Don't expect it to be fixed.i-Lo said:Any word on when the memory leak issue on the 360 will be fixed? Btw, does the PS3 version also suffer from the same "the longer I play the worse the loading period gets" issue?

avcables said:I haven't had any issues and have been running at a constant 60FPS with the .dll fix. It's worked for everyone. The ifpsclamp ruins it, though, because it literally slows down the game to match the framerate.
If the .dll fix isn't working then your settings are too high for your hardware. Honestly, with every single person having a positive outcome from the .dll fix, I can't imagine what issue you're having. Turn off AA. You've already done the water fix. There's not much more.

The game will run worse on both consoles the more you play.
Fallout 3 definitely ran worse for me after 125 hours of play. I got lots of stuttering towards the end of my playthrough. So far, after ~19 hours, New Vegas is running the same it did when I first booted it up. I'm definitely expecting it to get worse over time.Count of Monte Sawed-Off said:I don't think that's necessarily true. Oblivion did get worse the more you played, but Fallout 3 never did for me, at least the 360 version. And I played that game a ton. If it did then I really never noticed. In New Vegas the decrease in performance in incredibly noticeable and pretty damn annoying. Hopefully they fix it, because Fallout 3 did run pretty good on the 360, all things considered.

Ledsen said:This is exactly what i'm saying. You don't have horrible stuttering because you can run the game at à constant 60 fps. If you can't, like me, you're screwed. It's à built-in limitation of the engine. In fo3 there was an fps limiter mod to fix it for people without high-end computers, but there isn't one for nv.

With that rig you shouldn't need to bother with FPS clamp at all. Use this:AgentOtaku said:Oh man, if you only knew how back and forth I've been between the console versions and PC version of Fallout 3 because of this.
Basically yeah, with iFPS clamp set the 0, the game is a fucking horrible stuttering mess that I CANNOT unsee. On the flipside, you set it to 60 and for the most part, it runs a solid 60 at 720p/4 AA/"High" settings. It's when you hit indoors with all the shite particle effects/smoke (think the supermarket), that everything turns into NES S L O W mode. I'm learning to cope, but yeah, was wondering if New Vegas' performance is more or less the same. If it is, I'll buy it on PC instead of console.
for the record, my rig:
Radeon 5850
Q9400
4gigs ram
btw, what's this .dll fix?

You sly little duck you. My characters line for telling her what he wanted for the help was "You know what I want". I might have some good karma and a good rep around the wasteland, but I don't do anything for free.duckroll said:I didn't need to make her ass a part of the deal, I speeched my way into getting it for free before she even told me anything about her sad story! I'm not that far into the game, but I think the world feels more interesting, more alive than FO3 and there are some very good characters in the game, voice acting is more varied than FO3 too.Enco said:Is there more to do in this game?

Fallout 3 got a boring after a while as there was very little to do in the wasteland.
It's sad to see the same engine is being used as several years ago. These games could be so much better on a more up to date engine where the characters don't look and behave like planks (just one example).

This is the only way we could ever get this game, so you'll have to live with this engine for a while longer. Hopefully for Bethesda's next game they will use id Tech 5.Enco said:Is there more to do in this game?

Also, is there any way to obtain/buy the prostitute outfits without killing prostitutes? I like to own at least one of every outfit and I'd rather not have to start rampaging the Strip.
