Famitsu News 4/26/11 [Updated]

Akselziys

Aksys Games Dev.
Seems like this week's Famitsu covers such gems as:

Atelier Meruru (PS3)
Grown up Mimi :3

Neptune Mk 2 (PS3)

Ao no Kiseki (PSP)

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)

Gloria Union (PSP)

Detective Club Vol. 1 (PSP)

Growlanser IV Overload (PSP)
ZOMG!

Grand Knights History (PSP) (yay, Vanillaware!)

Final Fantasy Type-0 (PSP)

Tales of Xillia

etc. to name a few ;)

Very interesting to see Growlanser appear again, since the last time we saw it was the Growlanser 1 remake on PSP a few years ago :)

Edit: Additional titles courtesy of Andriasang:

* Hatsune Miku Project Diva Ver 2.5 (Sega, PSP)
* Chaos Ring Omega (Square Enix, iPhone)
* Azito 3D (3DS)
* Beyond the Future Fix the Time Arrow (PSP/PS3)
* Sniper Ghost Warrior (PS3)

oooh, lots of handheld love
looking forward to seeing more GKH
That makes two of us!

Here's hoping Growlanser IV is a full remake so it stands some chance of getting localized. We should have got that one instead of V. Yuck.

I've been way too spoiled this week with all the news.

I don't know what I subconsciously expected there to be in the famitsu. Some grand Cafe reveal? Too many mindgames from Nintendo.

There are some photos that show a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
Dunno if these are from Famitsu though.

There was something teased for next month's Dengeki, so that may be it.

I really look forward to hearing the Zelda stuff.

Why are remakes currently among my most anticipated games? The other remake I'm thinking of is Cave Story.

I wonder if the 3ds will help promote psp development in japan by having relatively similar horsepower. I can imagine dual releases across both platforms until the psp finally breathes its dying gasp.

Any relevant info about Detective Club?

Edit: Wait, is it about the Clamp franchise?

Infaune in Neptunia Mk.2 is just weird.

It's just too bad that Atlus has given up on the series in America.

Only scans I've seen of a Pokemon game were fake ones of XD 3DS, the 3DS they show is the prototype one.

Also I don't see PMD in the TOC anywhere.

They were fake?

Is Growlanser IV one of the better ones, or something? Which games in the series are considered the best?

My friend tells me that Growlanser IV is a continuation of Growlanser II, and that we should never talk about Growlanser V, otherwise, he will kill me for bringing up horrible memories.

I and IV are the best Growlansers there are. IV is unrelated to any of the other series sans maybe III if some of the crazy dimensional adventures in Returns is any indication.

Oh, gee, two of the three we haven't gotten =(

EDIT: This brings Atlus' announced games back up to 1 original game and 2 remakes/ports, which I guess is the future of the company.

Same here. The pre-E3 vacuum sucks.

I personally think the Growlanser V hate is a bit undeserved myself but I do agree that the production values in it were kind of shit. The story is also only half finished too because the entire thing ends in Growlanser VI.

It's really a shame Atlus USA gives no attention Growlanser at all after Heritage of War. I guess after they couldn't capitalize on it after Working Designs they decided to pass on the PSP version and with this announcement it still stings knowing we won't get it.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2.5, you say? Sweet; more Project Diva goodness is always appreciated.

With this, Type-0, Ao no Kiseki, Gloria Union, Grand Knights History, Growlanser IV, etc., the PSP still has a bright future ahead.
