Famitsu News 4/26/11 [Updated]

Only scans I've seen of a Pokemon game were fake ones of XD 3DS, the 3DS they show is the prototype one.

Also I don't see PMD in the TOC anywhere.
It wasn't XD.
It also didn't state if it was DS or 3DS (it looks like it's DS or an up-port).

It could be Dengeki, I guess.
Could be fake too.

Hope it gets localized. By the way what does the news say? I can't seem to view AndriaSang in my workplace's computer.

Tri-Ace has a 100% localization record since a GB Color SO spin-off a decade ago. No worries.

famitsu leak - psp game called "frontier Gate". published by konami and developed by Tri-ace. all unconfirmed at this point. we'll find out when more information from famitsu is out.

Somehow I don't think that tech demo engine will translate well to psp :P

Well hopefully the PSP game is from the shitty team that makes shitty games (Star Ocean, IU), while the console engine will be used by the good team that makes good games (VP, RoF).

I would be okay with this.

That new Chaos Rings piqued my interest, I personally thought it was pretty solid save for some minor improvements that could have been implemented.

I find it so odd that 6 years after its release, after 3DS is out and NGP is on its way, that PSP is becoming the system for RPGs.

What kind of game is Beyond the Future Fix the Time Arrow?

What the fuck. tri-Ace refusing to give me VP3. What the fuck is Frontier Gate?!!

Well... They have 2 teams (VP and SO team). So hopefully this is done by SO team.

But really, I want SO5.

I don't think the devs can ignore the 17 million userbase in Japan. Overseas sales of handheld Jrpgs are usually shitty anyways, so the PSP is the best bet for them.

Well, it's been that way for at least a year now, maybe 2 so it's not something totally new.

Yeah, I know, but it is interesting nonetheless to see them announce another remake/port almost immediately after P2P's release. One released, two announced, and it is still only April.

People who want the VP team to be working on VP3?
I think they have more than 2 teams, a handheld team. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume was made by new tri-Ace staff while the core staff of VP2 went on to make Resonance of Fate. So they have to have more than just an SO and VP team.

I'd personally hope for the SO team to be fired, spit on, and never make another game again after SO4.

I'm ok with SO team making another SO game so long as they hire better writers.

Any info on this yet? Sounds intriguing.

Don't get excited:

"First details on "Beyond the Future" have surfaced via Famitsu. The magazine reveals the game, fully "Beyond the Future Fix the Time Arrow" to be a 5pb. published title that's being developed by Rejet. An all original otome (that means it targets female audiences, which is to be expected from Rejet) adventure game, Beyond the Future features character designs from Ginka."

When I hear that Ginka name I think this:

He is my successor.

Is Growlanser IV one of the better ones, or something? Which games in the series are considered the best?

Yes. The first and fourth ones are considered the best, and... surprise!...are not localized.

Atlus USA is definitely not going to bring anything Growlanser-related over. Would be nice if they let someone else take a stab at it, but I don't think that would happen either.
