She's kinda skated around the Cursed Child stuff, and brings up the fact that a lot of that story came from the other dude.... so I dunno.

Yeah, this movie could be awesome if the cast is returning. I loved the first one. The Harry Potter universe has always been cool but I could never watched any of the movies because they stuck too close to the source material. It was like: why bother with the films when you have the books?

Fantastic Beasts had the opportunity go in a different and expand upon the world and Rowling and Yates pretty much nailed it. The world building is excellent. The characters are charming. It was such a breath of fresh air to see adult wizards.

Still kills me that we got another ridiculous looking Johnny Depp instead of Farrell. They might need to set aside some of the cgi budget for his booze bloat.

Fantastic Beasts 1 was actually my favorite of all the harry potter movies, probably because it didn't have the nostalgic baggage of having read and loved all those books, I enjoyed the acting, the story. Its almost like not having a bunch of kid actors makes for a better movie maybe?
