Bryan can't give notice??

They're pulling a Rey. Keeping him back for his own health, keeping his contract frozen so he gets paid way less than if he were active, he can't legally quit, all he can do is sue to get out. Rey did, and was ultimately released because of it; they're betting on Bryan not suing because they know as long as there's even a slim chance in his mind that they relent, he'll stick around because (like Rey) he just wants to wrestle.

Rey sued because it was all he had left to do and he knew it. Bryan still thinks he can win without that.

Dave and Daniel are friends so it's pretty obvious why he won't publicly say it, but the truth is Daniel Bryan is done with WWE. Eventually Daniel won't wait any longer, he'll sue, and he'll be released. The question is just how long that's going to take.

We know from previous instances that the contracts the wrestlers have doesn't leave the WWE with a leg to stand on if the wrestlers want out. Probably doesn't help the WWE that the wrestlers are considered contractors ironically.

Whats weird was this post was done 8 days ago and has Dave said anything about this on his podcasts or the observer or the messageboard on his site?

Its just strange he would mention this on some random site and not say it anywhere else.

Are we sure that's actually Dave? I mean, we had a user with username "Dave Meltzer" at one point, but it wasn't good ol' Herb Meltzer.

Of course, it would be just like that carny M-F Meltzer to post stuff on a third party message board when he can't report it elsewhere either because it's not legit or he can't officially post it for whatever reason.

I'd be suspicious of that poster being a gimmick poster as opposed to the real Dave.

Yeah, the site itself might surprise but people from the business absolutely post there. He's mentioned it a couple times on the Observer board, responded to people tweeting him links on the forum, had an account since '02 (let's be honest, if it were a gimmick nobody'd bother for even half that long), even had a semi-argument with Tracy Smothers (who I think also had an account).

Blue Meanie also has an account, but that's less interesting because nobody cares about Blue Meanie.

If big Dave was gonna drop news like that it would be on his own website or twitter or the WO's own forums. Not some random ass corner of the wrasslin web

Well some freelance writer who writes for the observer website says its him.

I just find it funny that he broke this news on this random forum 8 days ago and never mentioned since on the website, newsletter or forum he owns.

Someone tweet him to see if this is true. He answering stuff right now.

Wonder if Bryan would accept a Heyman-type manager role if WWE offered it to him. Come out, run his mouth for a bit, lead the crowd in a Yes chant, collect a check. Or does he feel he HAS to wrestle so he'd be fine getting much less money and performing elsewhere.

What exactly do we know about Bryan's medical condition at this point in time? Last I checked some doctors had cleared him and others hadn't and WWE doesn't want him to wrestle anytime soon because of a pending concussion lawsuit or another.. At least that's how I remember the situation. Correct me if I am wrong.

He has already turned down a training position and an announcing position. He wants to wrestle and that is it.

He has been cleared by 2 doctors and supposedly went to another in New York. The problem is no matter how many clear him Maroon has to clear him so he can wrestle.

They've offered him everything that isn't in-ring apparently. Being an agent, commentator, GM, trainer. Said no to all. He just wants to wrestle.

Dr. Joseph Maroon who is WWEs specialist had yet to clear him even though plenty of other doctors have. I think someone said the UCLA doctors are top notch specialist, yet the petty doctors haven't even touched him. Probably because they're telling them not to and the pending lawsuit.

And who is the plaintiff in this pending lawsuit again?

I know it is technically not allowed to shoot like Eva Marie lest you bring down the ire of the "serious wrestling fan", but the Red Queen has a YT channel now and that deserves some promotion: http://youtu.be/AQuG5iEqN2U

It's Sunday, but that is a bikini photoshoot, so nsfw.

That's... a pretty weird assumption

Bryan got big as the guy with long hair and a long beard. I assume he was keeping the look because he hoped he was going to be coming back and making money with it, and the fact that he's shaved is a sign that he now doesn't think that. Whether it means retirement or a return to the indies is beyond me.

Remember the year we got The Rock vs Mankind in an Empty Arena match during Half Time Heat?

My fav Empty Arena match is still Kurt/Sting

Where you got to see the crowd sadly leave, watch these two old men fight while the commentators clearly said the MEM was still in the fucking arena, and then there was no finish because they interfered and saved their buddies from hurting each other more

Listening to Starcade 91 episode of The Lapsed Fan.

Them acting out Vader screaming "I'M SHITTING!!" whenever he goes the bathroom. God damn it. Lost control of my car in Rocket League.

So does this shit always have this many commercial breaks? Do they just keep the players standing around while the commercials finish?
