I repost this a few times every day, but worth repeating.

Call your congressmen or representatives and make your voice heard. Their numbers are publicly listed.
Contact Senate

Support charities and groups championing civil liberties and freedom in dire need of your funding and awareness. Here's a small list to get you going:

Progressive Charities

Join groups and protesters whenever possible. There are dozens of scheduled marches planned throughout the year, all of which are in need of labor, funding, support, and the spread of public awareness. You can start local, or even start one yourself. Social media has made this easier than ever.

Engage friends and family who stand against you on these issues and don't back down from defending your views. This is hard, but if you approach it from a place of understanding and love, hopefully they can listen to you and even come to realize that their views are damaging to other people's lives and jeopardizing the rights of all people living in this nation.

And, most importantly, VOTE. Not just four years from now, but in midterms in 2018. Vote for your representatives and senators and encourage everyone in earshot to do the same.

Those are just a few ways to fight back.

We are.

Thousands showed up to airports around the country to protest and support those who have the legal right to enter this country. The phone-banks of Congress men and women are flooded with people expressing their discontent.

Hundreds of thousands more today have been supporting and donating to the efforts by the ACLU and other legal organizations in the fighting of this egregious executive order, and have already scored a small but pivotal victory in the courts.

Millions of dollars were donated today by citizens to support the fight against Trump and this unconstitutional legislation, and it will only continue as the battle heats up.

The country may have elected this madman, but he does not speak for us.

In the 40 years to 2015, not a single American was killed on US soil by citizens from any of the seven countries targeted - Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen - according to research by the conservative-leaning Cato Institute.

But the same research shows that in the same period nearly 3000 Americans were killed by citizens of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Turkey — most victims of the September 11 attacks.

Who's arguing that citizens from every country of the world have a right to immigrate to the US whenever they want?

What's being disputed is whether the screening process is structured and executed in a lawful manner.
 

It would be good to know where and when this ad is appearing. It's insidious as fuck, but if it's mostly playing on channels frequented by old Trumpets, it's little more than choir preaching.

In reality? I have no idea, this is completely uncharted waters to me.

Trump could also use presidential pardons too which would be insane.

I don't know where that specific quote is from, but the Cato Institute study is here, with a nice big table. They're more blase about all the civil rights concerns, but even they find the logic behind the order confusing:

The economic cost of a temporary ban, or even a permanent one, is small because so few green cards and nonimmigrant visas are issued to folks from those seven countries. However, the danger of terrorism on U.S. soil committed by citizens of those countries has also been very low historically with only 17 convictions from 1975 through 2015 and zero Americans killed in domestic attacks. Future terrorists could come from different countries than terrorists did in the past but, based on current evidence, this ban is still a net loss because it will likely stop few terrorists, prevent zero deaths, and slightly reduce immigration and tourism. All minor economic pain, no gain.

Of course, there's still more to worry about if this order stands:

If President Trump was committed to banning immigrants from certain countries in order to reduce the already small risk of terrorism on U.S. soil committed by the foreign-born then he would not just ban nationals from these seven countries. For this reason, I expect his administration to expand the list of countries banned in the near future. Section 3, subsections c, d, e, and f clarify that the president can extend these bans to other countries or make them permanent. This is a warning about additional bans on migrants and immigrants to come as well as the process by which those bans will be enacted.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

This fact could be the undoing of this legislation. While the president can legally stop immigration from any country, he can only do so by showing that they pose a threat. The actual facts are completely stacked against him.

There's too many that oppose Trump and/or see him being dumped as an opening for their own, much more structured gain. He has few allies and generates new enemies every day.

This does not end well for Trump if it comes to that.

Reports coming in that CBP officers at LAX have deported at least 1 person (Iranian individual) in violation of the federal stay.

This is monstrous.
 
Seemed to good to be true. Hope these fools face consequences for ignoring these judges. Hope the woman who swallowed all those pills pulls through..fucking 8 days..
