most useful are these for me

- The Blob's Buzzsaw in Clay Fighter, that cheap damage
- Raphael's Drill Attack in TMNT Tournament Fighters
- Fox's Reflector in Melee
- Dictator's Scissor Kick
- Guile's Sonic
Condom
Boom

pacquiao & mayweather as bonus characters in sf5?

Just give us anything Capcom

One thing I don't want Ono to carry over that I think he will is the oversillyness he brings to the games. I don't really care for the noodles and the characters in the background that look very cartoonish compared to the fighters.

Why did ArcSys go with Sega hardware for Guilty Gear Xrd.
Guess it was budget/timing. They chose the SEGA RingEdge2 which was already outdated in 2013 with the SEGA Nu. I guess unlike Capcom that went from Taito X2 to X3 for USFIV Arc was starting from scratch for Xrd so they decided to just dump Taito. I do wonder exactly why though. What cabinet do they use for Xrd? The last GG arcade games were on SEGA cabs no?

Teleports (Sim's, Bison's, Strider's, Faust's, Yang's)
Bison's purple stuff (Psycho Crusher, Devil's reverse) & Bison's scissor kick pressure.
The fireball.
Doom's fingerlasers (extends airtime, locks downs)
The dash, all of it: back dash, air dash, tri-dash.

Words hurt Beef, take it back. I am already annoyed that my daughter is making me read My Little Pony for her bedtime stories.

edit :Horrible news Markman. My wife's work laptop was stolen at work but it had one of those encryption linked to her keychain and they wiped it remotely.

horrible news via Markman.

@MarkMan23: ... Someone broke into our car and stole my bags and work laptop.

@MarkMan23: My work stuff is all gone and some of my friends' stuff. The key for T7 is gone too, so sorry future events. :( http://t.co/t8MCfUjzjE

@MarkMan23: We didn't park in a shady area. It's a paid public parking spot and was away from our vehicle for less than ten mins... Damn.

Which reminds me...do we think SF5 will see an arcade release? It's weird that Sony is working with SE to bring Dissidia to Arcades, but we don't have anything for SF5.

I'd say the life of the title in Japan depends on an arcade release, personally.

I really hope it gets an arcade release - even if after the console release. I don't like the idea of a straight-to-console japa FG at all, for myriad reasons, even if it's SF. Actually, especially since it's SF.

If it does indeed release on consoles first, it's going to be really interesting to see how things play out in terms of its rate of acceptance in the east.

I agree. What are those short aliens doing in the background? makes no sense, besides how ugly they are, it is a different artstyle from the rest of the game. It looks really bad.

Yeah not sure where the slapstick looking stuff comes from. Haven't really seen it in any prior sf

Man, pretty much everything Samus did in Melee I loved. Super Missiles were buff due to short hop-l-cancelling shenanigans, Charge Shot mind-games, and bombs made her recovery godlike on some stages (and that's not even getting into super wavedash stuff).

Besides that, I dunno. Soul Fist is good.

And if it counts, in Gundam EXVS Full Boost, ZZ's Hi-Mega Cannon is the best thing ever.

I just seen that, but Mike Ross said that people love to fly out the Asian players over, and not the other way around.

That is definitely true, but Asians are traveling abroad even without r/kappa and Shouta. Kazunoko and Infiltration weren't flied out to every US tournament they have been in. Infiltration used the r/kappa tag for NCR, but I'm pretty sure he paid for his own trip. Kazunoko paid for his own trip to Final Round. Bonchan has paid for his own trip.

That's without even mentioning all the Asian players that have already planned to attend future Premiere tournaments on there own. Reiketsu, Eita, Shiro, etc... have already confirmed to be going overseas.

The problem is that American players with Sponsors don't bother going overseas. That's probably due to the difference in reward even with much tougher competition. In Asia, the prize money won't be as good as tournaments in the US and the competition will be harder.

It's only going to get worse. There are only 5 (6 if you count PR) more US ranking events for them to pick up points at. There are 9 more Asian ranking events. There are 4 Asian Prem. tournaments left and all of the Western prem. events will be filled with Asians, sponsored or not. I think this is good for the scene. It increases the competition from event to event ensuring the best players (no matter the region) go to Capcom Cup while also bringing more hype and entertainment for both players and viewers.

Well the other minor thing that wasn't really brought up in that twitter discussion is that who(and I mean a unsponsored player) from America is worth sending over to Asia where they will face at least a dozen or more killers? Smug is worthy, but last I heard he doesn't want anything to do with R/Kappa. The other other player is Snake Eyez, all the other top US players are already sponsored.

Maybe that doesn't matter and R/Kappa should just throw a bone to some good(but not elite) USF4 players and give them a free ride to compete in one of the Asian events anyways. Ultimately that's up to R/Kappa. But from what I can tell, their thing seems to be sponsoring elite players or player specialist(from Japan) who have never gotten a chance to prove themselves.

With that current discussion on twitter, I can see why it is so one directional. A lot of asian tournaments have a lot less exposure than majors over here for viewers in the states. I have stayed up to watch some asian tournaments and it's not always at a very good time or it's on a stream that a lot of US players might now be familiar with.

There's also some perception on how they view players too. I doubt anyone would feel good about donating for someone like an EG member, they would feel it's the sponsors job to foot the bill. Many players that have come over here are unsponsored and wouldn't have come over here otherwise. It also helps that those donated to have some personality or reputation like Poongko and Infiltration. Thinking about it, what high profile unsponsored are there in the US? I think Snake Eyez and Smug of course are the top two, but Snake Eyez most people haven't really seen much personality from him to be honest. Smug I can see people supporting, he is a crowd favorite, but some people might have doubts about him taking the whole tournament, sort of how they expect someone like Kazunoko to do extremely well (well, at least 2nd place with Momochi around). But overall people want to see players they can't normally see. We can expect to see a lot of american players at american majors, so people might feel that they don't need to see more of them.

Aside from the sponsored players that will be going to SEAM. Reiketsu, Shiro, KOK, Kichijojiken, Santarou, and Dashio are already confirmed to be going. That event will be really stacked.

Don't be so negative, surely the e-sports money can get us some asses

If they have not done it yet, they will never do it. And e fraud money is nothing.
Post of the week
Something just inspired me to go on that tangent.

Those kinds of characters are obnoxious pieces of shit and you should feel bad for liking them.

What cheap stuff do I abuse?

Oh right now on MKX if I ever pick Cassie Cage I do her down+forward 1 non stop on people who can't block low then high. 100% ridiculous lol.

As Takeda I abuse his back 2 1 into ex spear for 35+% combos all day. If you can't block on wake up then you are eating this.

Damn terrible news via markman I hope those fuckers are caught. Plus It appears I missed the east coast SF sign up, it's ok I guess tho, I really don't like playing on PC compared to PS3.

My car was broken into one time years ago for a GPS, people are fucking lame.

Fucking thieves, I hope the police Ogawa them.

I had my car stolen once, in Seattle coincidentally, by some jerks with a dealer's set of keys. It wasn't a nice car either, it was just a 10 year old pos Subaru.

Also, how many gaffers were at NWM this weekend anyway?

teamsp00ky had his fightsticks stolen awhile back. People just don't give a fuck. If you catch a thief fuck them up. It's bullshit. Some people do so much for the community when some dumbass does something it affects millions.

Whether those players are sent overseas or not, I don't think it will matter. These guys aren't proving themselves on US soil. Only Nuckledu was able to get into the top 4. Daigo, Momochi, Xian, Fuudo, Bonchan, Kazunoko, and Gamerbee are the other players that made top 4 on US soil.

Western players just need to step up their game. Hard to feel bad for them just because it's a lot harder to qualify for this year's capcom cup compared to last year's pro tour that was lopsided in the US player's advantage.

Can someone translate this tweet from Ono? It's about the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight

Match of the century for boxing fans, huh? There is significance even in this tweet.

Hardest question yet. At first, all I could think about were normals. After some thinking, here's what I came up with:

- MK9 Quan Chi's EX-rune
- KOFXIII Venom Strikes
- BBCP Litchi's DP
- Skullgirls Cerecopter (assist)
- GGXXAC+R I-No Dives
