What a birthday weekend </3
It's ridiculous how these companies can continue to make bad decisions after bad decisions and still continue to stay afloat because of mobile gaming. The thing is, Kojima isn't even Konami's breadwinner now. It's their mobile division and pachinko/gambling machines that are making money. Konami can afford to completely drop videogames (that aren't mobile) and still do completely fine.

Wow, that really sucks.
When I'm facing a bad player who constantly mashes buttons in marvel like an idiot on wakeup. I've learned to deal with it and just level up and let them shoot themselves in the foot.
I just find it weird Kojima is actually leaving after MGSV, it just doesn't make sense for Konami to let their bread winner leave like that. Either that or Konami is finally gonna go bankrupt in a couple years from no good games lol
That's why I thought it was weird. Kojima is Konami for crying out loud, Metal Gear is their moneymaker and to have the man that created it just leave it mind boggling. Although, I shouldn't be surprised since Capcom let the head of platinum studios and megaman creator just get frustrated with their mentality and leave.

MGS is not their moneymaker lol. Matter of fact, IIRC its not even games that makes them the most of their money, its pachinko or some shit

Konami on the decline. The whole picture for anyone curious

Consistency or just one big win, or should I say one big finish. If someone were to finish 2nd or 3rd at EVO for example, they're pretty much in regardless of what else happens. Their just aren't enough points to go around to make the 32nd place finisher have more than 256 points when last year Chris G finished 32nd with 173 and their were a lot more ranking events last year. That's also the main reason why I think winning one ranking event is good enough this year when all is said and done. So even if America can't win a premier event, getting into GF and finishing 2nd might be good enough to get in Capcom Cup.
BTW, that black SFV shirt looks pretty bad ass. I think I might get one after all.

Manly tears will be shed on that day.Ippo and Miyata can wait, Sendo is doing some grow ass man work. I'm still waiting for the fight his mother actually goes to see. That will be truly insane.
A few months later into the future, people are going to look at Hypespotting and think of it as a missed opportunity.
No offense to Mago

Yeah, kind of a bad way to end the weekend. =/
Cybit wanted to sing you and Slash happy birthday on the PA but we couldn't interrupt Tekken Tag 2 finals since we were behind schedule a bit. =(
Digital entertainment (console games) are massively declining, whereas gaming (gambling and stuff) is rising. So Digital Enterntainment is the breadwinner and then gaming systems? I don't see how pachinko is making them a profit here or I'm reading it wrong. Konami should just hand off the IP (or sell it) to someone who would do it justice. Sadly that won't be the case cause they've lost it for the past couple of years.

The thing about digital entertainment is that it's very variable. Basically dependent on Metal Gear releases.Digital Entertainment is on a decline but it still made the most money for them in 2014. The negative signs means they lost money on it right? Its at -1.9 and has down from what it was the previous year unless I'm having trouble reading the chart.
Edit:
I started comparing the actual gaining of money/differences in years and holy hell, that pachinko is actually making them a nice profit. The profit for Digital Entertainment has declined dramatically, I don't know if its a loss on their end if they put up that much money for each of the prospective years but those declines are not pretty to look at.

Well Konami will have a good 2015 for Digital Entertainment mostly because MGSV is going to d gangbusters. After that they are in a pickle for sure.
Guess they can make a fighter... you know those always make a ton of money.
Its that time again...

This one should get good...
Isn't Miyata supposed to be Jesus or something.
Wait, thinking of Martinez.
Berserk isn't drawn out like a Shounen, it's paced just right and the story is always moving.
The problem is the chapter release schedule. Obviously if you release one chapter a year you aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
If Berserk had the release schedule of Naruto then it would've ended 5+ years ago.
Feels more dragged out then Hunter X Hunter, which has a worse release.
