People wondering what Q looks like.

So... like...

Did any actual tournaments or gatherings or practice sessions or just people fucking around in actual fighting games got streamed today?

No?

Oh. :I

EDIT: OptionSelect has something going on... but... SFxT. Welp.

You people go so apeshit over this nonsense that I forget to check out Ultrachen until it's already over.

When you've been following fighting games for 10 years and been to majors you kind of hear the things UltraChen been saying for years. It's not like they are showing us something we don't know. The best thing I've seen so far from a teaching standpoint was Valle on Cross Assault (Now that I can watch...).

I think that's the reason Ultra Chen doesn't really get that much hype. At this point anyone who follows the FGC understand concepts like footsie, normals, special, meter management, baiting, option selects, jump ins, empty jumps, meatys, tick throws, frame traps. Eventually we need to take it to a deeper layer, and I don't feel like Ultra Chen can give us that.

It isn't hyped but they always get a good amount of viewers and many players enjoy it and appreciate their hard work, me included.

that right there is the whole problem with emp and triforce, but he doesn't seem to notice it for some reason.

he seems really oblivious to how he is presenting himself to others.

Speak for yourself bro. I think they offer a valuable service; not everyone is up to date on FGC terminology and lingo. I had no idea what an option-select was till tonight despite hearing the term all the time (I still don't totally get it so I'm going to go back and watch the rest of the episode when I have time). However, I heard Triforce was on and the man is entertaining as hell to listen to. Insane and clueless but oh so funny.

This "development company" shit doesn't work for video games. You can't just bring in pro players to promote everything. This model for a company hasn't worked for over ten years but he still tries. At least he's got heart, right?

I feel the same way, I mean you go on and on with these big words and midway through I just lose interest, he needs to just get to the point of it.

Triforce is gonna flip out and kill someone some day and I'm not gonna be surprised. Someone get this cat some mood stabilizers and a ticket to the Bahamas for a vacation.

and what is that ?

He provides a number of them with a place to live, paid for their travel/living/tournament costs, worked extremely hard bringing the FGC into the media and giving them the spotlight, created a place for them to practice etc.

He was doing this when virtually no one else was, and never made any money out of it. If you go back and read, he's not the best person out there, but he did do a lot of things for people and always thinks about the players over everyone else.

lol, no one is calling Triforce a piece of shit human being or something like that. We're just commentating on his rants, which are usually nothing but entertaining rambling.
