Caught up on the SXSW stuff from earlier today.. Daigo vs. Gamerbee was settled by a single drop. Such is the case for Evil Ryu but that was just so stupid. Should have just gone for an extended FADC or a dumbed down red focus -> U2 and that probably would have done it.

This is a really good touch for viewers, as it gives a predictable marker for when to get hype for something happening on screen (much like super flashes in most 2D fighters, or something like the distinctive SFX/VFX of stuff like x-factor). Hopefully it only happens when both characters are locked into an attack so that it doesn't make moves super easy to punish on block/whiff.

Yeah it's a great hype visual for sure. Pretty sure it activates when both characters have low health and I believe the game knows an attack will hit first then it knows to slow the game down.

Marvel has the only realistic chance. The NRS community is still fairly niche, and they haven't done a good enough job to turn casuals into tournament goers yet.

Besides USA being free, people being washed up per match should show that it should have been FT3, especially with how early the stream ended.

It seems like they had time, but I could see how FT3 could be excessive considering these round robins are merely seeding for the 'real' tournament.
