He won majors and beat guys like Infiltration. He now struggles in pools. You can't explain that just with Cammy nerfs. It's crazy, rare to see a drop off this bad.

Cammy was his and others crutch in AE2012 and as others has said he seemed to be a character specialist who exploited his characters strenghts, i.e. the 1p vortex game with high stun.
When USF4 nerfs hit her and delayed wake up got introduced his greatest advantage was in shambles and thus has to play a lot more solid than in the previous version. He probably knew exactly what is going to happen in USF4 and that's why he was rather pleased about Decapre's first showing, joke or not.
I think a lot of people expected to see a drop off. The question never was if, but how much.

Daigo is going to end up in 4th and he's going to end up playing Momochi in the 1st round.

All according to his Keikaku.

Is SxSW over for the day?

Yes.

Besides USA being free, people being washed up per match should show that it should have been FT3, especially with how early the stream ended.

Hopefully the stream issues are worked out for tomorrow, but I was expecting more for the level of talent being showcased.

I do love that there's multiple big events to watch over the weekend for Street Fighter, but's going to suck when we have weekends where multiple big events are taking place, then go into weekends where nothing big is going on. I need my fix.

All they had to do was look at how long the Topanga ft3 matches were or just look at the CPT Asia round robin ft3 matches were. 15 minutes was more than enough to use ft3. It's rare for a ft3 to last the whole 15 minutes. Even if a match did, you could use up the extra minutes that didn't last that long because once again, the time for each match was scheduled at 15 min. I don't even have to bring up the three scheduled 15 minute breaks.

So did I hear correctly that MKX makes you play through story mode to unlock all characters again? If so, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...

This is a really good touch for viewers, as it gives a predictable marker for when to get hype for something happening on screen (much like super flashes in most 2D fighters, or something like the distinctive SFX/VFX of stuff like x-factor). Hopefully it only happens when both characters are locked into an attack so that it doesn't make moves super easy to punish on block/whiff.

what time does the nine states tournament start?

edit: 1 hour and 20 min

Jetlagged Daigo to advance to the next stage pls

They were asked if beating story mode unlocks any characters. They said yes, so yeah...

That's unfortunate. I mean, I'm going to be playing the story mode anyway, but the fact thay some characters are locked behind the story mode sucks.

Oh well. The only hard part of the MK9 story mode was Raiden's chapter. We'll see if this one follows suit.

I'm watching a lot of Aris talking about Tekken and how to be better at the game. Everything he's saying can be applied to fighting games and I think it's helping me become a better player. I don't think of my opponent's actions as decisions too often, I just play and react. I need to pay attention to what they do.
