How about something abstract then, such as inverted Tekken? You get to play as various volcanoes that knock their volcano family members into deadly human crevices, miraculously failing to kill them every time.

You guys can't even tell me and Panda apart, of course you're going to get players confused!

Wait...you're not Panda? What

Haha- I was talking purely aesthetically (could be mechanically more standard). Could be a single character who functions as you described, but it might be really frustrating to fight against. It could function as a temporary thing like MODOK's jamming bomb or whatever.

If there existed a character like that there would probably be more 50/50s than Viper as they switched your inputs back and forth.

I mean, they could do a more stripped down version of that, but where's the fun in that?

Fun times so far with the mixed responses to the "Ambiguous Fighting Game Question" on themes you'd like to see used for a character in a fighting game.

So far I see Wizard stuff, Cyberpunk stuff, and Fantasy stuff like the armored battle mage looking stuff and Knights posted earlier.

Any other crazy character themes you've been hoping to see one day used that hasn't come to be yet?

I always wanted to a version of Tekken set in the 1960s, with like hippies and younger versions of the old characters.

Would be cool to have a game with protagonists from multiple different martial arts movies adapted into a fighting game. Pay some homage to the roots, not just caricatures/inspirations.

True to martial arts movies, it will have overdone sound effects and maybe a bit of bad dubbing. Also elaborate stages and interaction sequences.

There wouldn't be ultras or supers, just the ability to enter into some sort of enhanced fighting state or something.

I think the idea behind Cyberbots needs revisiting. The idea of choosing a pilot and then separately choosing a robot made for an elegant way to play through a continuous story in arcade mode while being able to switch fighting styles, since the moveset was tied to the mech and not the pilot. The other cool thing was that the different mechs were different combinations of a small finite number of stock parts- a mech fighting game could take this to the logical end of being able to full on 'build' a robot fighter from a combination of parts. This of course is incredibly hard to balance, as it could easily slip into the trap of just a handful of builds dominating the game (which is the one reason I'm not on board with a vs. style game with full customizable assists- sometimes restrictions force interesting creativity). You could possibly have a ratio system of some kind so you could have both more balanced builds and builds that were a combination of very strong and very weak parts. If not that, you could have base frames and parts you could pick just for that frame, so rather than customizing characters with complete abandon, it'd be more like customizing individual characters.

Fuck Anime.gif

Only Square folk I care for are Black Mage, Red Mage (just because they have the bitchinest outfits) and Neku from TWEWY. Haven't gotten around to Bravely Default fully yet so this is a tentative list.

Your list probably won't change after playing that tbh.

bout to actually literally put my copy of Xrd in my PS3. Choosing to play as Sin. Is this nigga alright?

Can Anime players confirm?

Is Sin eating Popeyes when he gets his energy back?

Infil's stream is already a classic

sin does grown man damage, of course he's eating popeyes. He's also a pretty good character. Also just played some exvs. Ready to body shouta and beckx at evo exvs side tourney

I'll take that bet about only one American in top 8. I think at least 2 will make it.

I'm going with 2 as well. The whole "all Japanese or Asian top 8" almost never happens. Some of them will knock each other out, some of them will lose to Americans, it happens.

1. it's not bitcoin

2. uTorrent's does not have it by default, it is one of the spyware that is prompted at the start of the install

I'm aware, but most people don't know the difference from Litecoin and Bitcoin. :p

Also, the installer is highly deceptive and you and I both know that most people just click shit without carefully looking. It's also heavily bloated anyway so people should just avoid using it. :v
