It does seem like he tends to lose the mental game in tournament more than anything. I wonder how he ever won EVO in Marvel 2.

To be honest, given Justin's performance this year, most people do.

I'm not trying to take away from Flocker, he earned his Evo championship.

It's like AE in 2011, most people remember sequence with Poongko and Diago (Red Bull drinking, perfect, etc) over the fact that Fuudo (a relative unknown in SF, not in VF at that point) won.

That part I mean with regards to the backlash. Overall I think all of those players are a good, diverse selection of entertainment value. Most people who follow Marvel probably have multiple of those guys as some of their favourites I would think. Unless you're some hipster G-G-G-Green Ace fanboy or something I guess.
 
Unsurprisingly Flocker is the least salty over this and he even predicted that he wouldn't make it.

That's good to hear about the d-pad, I really can't wait to finally try the controller myself. I just wish the analog sticks were still convex.
 
voted nemo/kbr/abegen and they got in. :) btw i don't think nemo is hype but i want to see a money match with champ/chris or other players.
 
I voted for all gods since I figured a lot of people would skip over them, and it looks like I was right. Didn't vote for Flocker cause I only had 3 votes and Justin/Champ/ChrisG are more interesting to watch.

tbh, people could've been looking at yipes from two sides (doubt most did), that even if he sucks it up there they can still get some great commentary from him and combofiend. I think the prospect of that would warrant a vote from some people. This all hinges on whether capcom has it's own commentators in place or not, but a yipes and combofiend commentary would be refreshing
 
The results are not particularly surprising. Abegen delivered some hype at exactly the right time, so he is probably the luckiest one.

Just a shame to see FChamp involved.

i'm okay with yipes giving his spot to the evo champion. i really did think flocker would have a guaranteed spot. all the matches should be ft5.

Good guy Yipes. Still should go to the 9th spot all things considered. If it's flocker then good. If not well this whole vote was flawed they should have played for spots in the first place.
