Her name is "山本 玲", which can be read as either "Yamamoto Akira" or "Yamamoto Rei". Her actual name is Akira, but she says that everyone calls her Rei.

Ah, alright. Thanks for the clarification. Because I know when pre-orders first went up, all of the retailers listed her as Rei Yamamoto. I was just curious about the change.

So, after finishing Girls und Panzer (which was surprisingly awesome, though short) they better put out the Panzer IV model to go along the figmas or HEADS WILL ROLL!

That was like, the first series I plowed through when I first subscribed to crunchyroll. I thought it was adorably silly.

I checked it out because the whole premise sounded silly, then I saw the first 3 minutes and I was completely blown away. And I still have to rewatch everything to catch all the historical references they poured into it.

Anime tank porn done right!

I loved the fact that
the WoT players that joined got blown up as soon as the battle began because the actual tank driving was HARD
. Not surprised about the WoT advertising at all.

this arrived. bought it for the adorable chibi figure. seems like the whole issue is about the show which i still haven't seen. one thing that i wasn't aware of was it includes a hug pillow...lol. gonna probably sell it. haha

After years, and I mean years of resisting buying figures my will finally cracked back when Asuna Yuuki was announced by Kotobukiya and people in the irc channel I've hung out in for 13 years linked it to me for which my wallet will forever curse them. It didn't help that for years I had been given them a really hard time about the money they spent on figures.

My pre-order list is now:

There are already around 10 figures that have been shown at wonfest that I am fairly certain of getting when they go up on preorder.

Man I'm sitting on whether or not to buy that Miku Hatsune from 7th Dragon. I don't own any other Miku figures, but it's primarily because every figure I do like of the character generally sells out.

So what are you waiting for? The 7th Dragon figures generally skyrocket in price once they sell out.

I already ordered her, and she'll be my first Miku.

So I finally decided to start watching One Piece and I am about 12 episodes in. I think I might buy the DVDs to save on some bandwidth. I now have to keep an eye for One Piece figures coming out as they often sell out fast.

Same answer as many others - the RSS feed for Tomopop, Plastikitty, and Neko Magic in Feedly (RIP Google Reader) combined with this thread pretty much covers all the figure news I could ask for.
