Well there is a discussion as it's a pretty dumb law that shouldn't've been put forward in the first place. It even banned tentacle stuff despite that being shown at like 10PM on a terrestrial channel in our country.

Does anyone use Amazon Japan? There are a couple of nendos on there I'm interested in that are sold by Amazon direct (ie not a third party, or 'fulfilled by Amazon'). Looks like they'll all ship fine to my address. I have an account and have used the site lots for books and CDs, just wondered if anyone here uses them for figures at all, and if your experience was good or bad... I'm all ears :)

I haven't used them myself for figures but I ordered stuff like books and music CDs. They were generally very good and fast with shipping.

I have heard from few people who have ordered figures from Amazon Japan said that the shipping was very good and fast. But than again I am talking about Korea, which is very close to Japan so if it's shipping to US/EU it might be different.

Thanks raven. They are definitely fast - using DHL global express (no other option available to UK), in-stock items can arrive within 3-4 days. I have been using them for years, but I just wanted to make sure there isn't any weird quirks that come with ordering figures as I've only ever ordered books and CDs.

Same problems here in Germany. While in the electronic market there are several hentai anime absolutly open for display, the law makes it easily possible to ban it at the same time or prosecute the people that ones the movies. Forbidding fiction, in picture, writing or figures, is plain stupid and fulfills no purpose - at least no purpose that secures anyones safety.

Don't fall for internet Hyperbole, this is the UK law:

(1) It is an offence for a person to be in possession of a prohibited image of a child.

(2) A prohibited image is an image which—

(a) is pornographic,

(b) falls within subsection (6), and

(c) is grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character.

(3) An image is “pornographic” if it is of such a nature that it must reasonably be assumed to have been produced solely or principally for the purpose of sexual arousal.

(4) Where (as found in the person’s possession) an image forms part of a series of images, the question whether the image is of such a nature as is mentioned in subsection (3) is to be determined by reference to—

(a) the image itself, and

(b) (if the series of images is such as to be capable of providing a context for the image) the context in which it occurs in the series of images.

(5) So, for example, where—

(a) an image forms an integral part of a narrative constituted by a series of images, and

(b) having regard to those images as a whole, they are not of such a nature that they must reasonably be assumed to have been produced solely or principally for the purpose of sexual arousal,

the image may, by virtue of being part of that narrative, be found not to be pornographic, even though it might have been found to be pornographic if taken by itself.

(6) An image falls within this subsection if it—

(a) is an image which focuses solely or principally on a child’s genitals or anal region, or

(b) portrays any of the acts mentioned in subsection (7).

(7) Those acts are—

(a) the performance by a person of an act of intercourse or oral sex with or in the presence of a child;

(b) an act of masturbation by, of, involving or in the presence of a child;

(d) an act of penetration, in the presence of a child, of the vagina or anus of a person with a part of a person’s body or with anything else;

Drawings aren't real.

I wouldn't have any of those things in my home, nor do I look at them, but it all comes down to the fact that absolutely no one is being harmed.

Better make a law prohibiting murder in films. Gotta think of those actors.

Funny you should post this, literally just finished it on Netflix an hour ago after putting it off at episode 3 months ago.

Regretting not getting the Figma now but I really wish they would have done different versions of her.
probably try to get her after Christmas now, any word on figma Satsuki's release?

I quite like the figma. Was looking at the Phat Ryuko but read reports it was quite badly painted, so gave it a miss. I'd like to see a figma or nendo of her wearing her stadium jacket get-up.

Satsuki figma still down for '2015' as far as I know

Same, sadly as much as I like Figma they are so slow on the draw that it takes so long to get figures out most shows completely lose their hype by then.
If these hit with the show we would have seen at least 2 versions of each.

Really liking the base for that Kurumi figure as well. There's a comment on MFC about the base potentially being some kind of store exclusive, but I can't see what that's based

You have good taste. But it's only "good", because Kurumi is several orders of magnitude better than Origami (who's 2nd best).

Sorry for the late reply (went to bed early last night), but yeah I have played the cardgame. An acquaintance taught me at BGG.con and we played a few matches with his cards. I don't own any cards but I know how to play, mostly.

Yeah, a lot of the cards are not available in English; I guess they just can't afford to keep up the English publishing of everything? Mostly just the starter set type things are translated. If you are bilingual or want to use some cheat-sheets you can mix the cards.

The game actually plays pretty quickly once you know how to play. I want to say it's like 10-15 minutes for a game (it's been a year since I played so I can't remember exactly). Did you have specific questions about the game?

You'll probably have to wait a bit for Kirigiri then. I ordered Frau from CR, she released a month ago, and haven't heard about anything shipping wise from them.
