Pretty much agreed. I think Carey Mulligan is pretty cute (those dimples) but yeah she's no Femme Fatale. If you are going for that look you probably want someone like Natalie Dormer tbh.

she was dating a doctor, a guy she knew from college. One of his friends from college was getting married. They were having a bachelor party. She goes to the party and drugs them to get them to confess to gang raping her friend that killed her self. During that party they end up killing her and burning the body.

but surprise surprise she planned for this sent all the info to the police and they show up at the wedding and arrest all of the men.

Anyways, I found the movie mildly disappointing. Thought it was going to be more intense. Carey Mulligan is great though. All the time.

Movie is great BTW. But like I said in the movie thread, if you hated the men cat-calling in WW84 you should avoid this film.

He’s not wrong in his review, it’s what reviewers do , they look or test things then write opinions of them.
Wether you agree with him or not is another story but fragile ego’s in Hollywood is nothing new.

Just started watching the movie. Carrey mulligan looks like a 40 years old ugly ass hag here. But then a lot of guys will fuck anything that moves so it cancels out I suppose.
Still, I see the point of the critic. Would've been far more believable femme Fatale if it was someone actually good looking. Lets see how the movie progresses though.
Edit: Finished it. Its an OK movie. One time watch maybe. Suffers from 'not a single good guy in whole movie' syndrome. Too many coincidences and loopholes. Nowhere near good enough for 5 Oscar nominations and such great reviews. Doesn't drag on too much at least.

She is probably the only hollywood actress in her 20s, 30s and 40s i wouldnt fuck even at gun point. and ive seen her in a lot of movies. She was unattractive in Drive, Gatsby, Shame, and not a particularly great actress either. i think this is women privilege. no man this average looking would get this many leading roles. she was the love interest of DiCaprio, Michael Fessbender and Ryan Gosling.
