I noticed that Sephy was on a banner in JP and I wanted to get another one so that I could have 7* Sephy to go with my 7* Cloud. I had considered using a Select Ticket, but with him being on the banner, it seemed like a good time to try. I used 5000 lapis for a 10+1 since I only have a couple of tickets now and want to save them. Ended up being THREE rainbows in the pull. THREE. Muku was shocked...so was I. Ended up with another Sephy. The other rainbows were Pissed Shantoto and Jiraiya. Don't really need or want them, but I guess it's better to have them than not. Not sure what's going on, but JP FFBE has been giving me some love these days. I should bask in it while I can.

I wish I was in the same situation in Global. My group is pretty stagnant since I haven't gotten anyone amazing to complement my group in a long while. I did get Blossom Sakura, but I don't have the gear to really get the most out of the unit. To be honest, I'm not even sure who I'd want for my group at the moment. I'm afraid to really pull on the current Global banner because I don't want Prompto. Ha, ha!

From my limited experience in GL with both, Basch seems more of an AoE cover tank opposed to Wil's Provoke tanking, so there's always room for both. To be honest though, I barely ever use Wil. I used WoL every single fight until I got Basch, who is just a better WoL without Raise

Well, the bonus for me with Wil on JP was... he was part of my initial pulls. He was first tank I had and first for a while. So he became primary for me there. Which is okay. Meant I played a different way than other times. So okay. I guess I'll level Basch up as well. Forgot AoE cover tank part of him. Only recently got Basch on GL as well, so not much time with him yet. Thank you.

It's been a strange couple of days. I did a daily pull last night on Global and it came down rainbow. Woot! Too bad it was another Wilhelm. I guess I'm set for when we get 7*. This raid in Global is super easy. A2 and 2B pretty much destroy the boss. I'm happy since it means I can farm it without too much trouble. The only thing I'm really afraid of is pulling on the raid banner. I have no idea what to do with tall of the cactaur. At least in JP it's possible to merge them all to clear up space, but in Global I have no idea who to use them on. I haven't gotten any amazing 5* units recently and so all those cactaur have to be wasted on units I don't care about, or I have to buy a bunch of unit slots so I can store them for the day I get a good unit to level. I'll have to think about it a bit more.

I think with this luck I'm having with rainbows, I'm gonna go ahead and blow the last bit of lapis on the Step banners in JP in order to try to get some 5* units so I can use the moogles I have stored up. I think I almost have 100% for Hawkeye's TMR. Would be nice to get at least one.

It's funny that you mention that because I did the half daily in JP today in order to try and get one of the FIVE 5* units and it came down gold...then changed to rainbow! Ended up getting Kevin, which is my second since I got one through the silly step program. So 7* Kevin. Yay! Not sure if he's good or not. I also got one Hawkeye and one Riisu. I have 5 tickets left and I'm wondering if I should try for a second one of Hawkeye and Riisu. I don't care about the units, but the moogles for their TMR would be worth using. At this point, this banner loved me like the Valkyrie Profile banner (though, I didn't get Arngrim). I ended up with every 5* and multiples of a couple of them. I'm gonna burn a couple of tickets on the Type 0 banner in order to try to get some bonus units for the Mog King, but I won't be pulling after that. Type 0 units never excite me.

Anyway, I have a couple of hours before maint to decide what to do, so I'll probably just run the JP raid to get moogles before then. Technically I need another Primm, but there's no way I want to pull on her banner again because I feel the bastard game will give me another Randi.

EDIT: I decided to try a couple of pulls before JP maint. and ended up with nothing. That's a bummer, but how it goes. Maybe next time I'll be able to get a couple more to use up these moogles I have. Not looking forward to the next banner, but I won't be pulling much on that one.

GL gets pretty comparable stuff on a regular basis. There's sometimes an odd choice to lower a few standard things for GL but JP tends to be about the same level. We recently started getting login bonuses on top of the weekly stuff but it's roughly in the same neighborhood when you take into account 7-star inflation.

I don't really keep track of JP outside of this thread, so I'll have to take your word for it, but I've seen more than a couple threads on Reddit (i know, i know, full of complainers) that show the nerfed rewards between JP and GL events. Ah well, nothing I can do about it, and I don't want to play 2 versions of the game so I'll just suck it up.

Got my 10+1 ticket today and got one of the worst 10+1 pulls I've ever done. 10 blues without serviceable TMs and Gold Hope. Yeesh.

I did my 5 pulls and a daily and ended up with one Machina. Decided to blow more tickets since we'll be getting tickets all month and the tickets from the Mog King event. Ended up with another Machina. I got super lucky, because Muku blew a bunch of tickets and didn't get one on-banner rainbow. At least I got two of the Machina guy. I'd like to get the other guy because his TMR is great for Kunshira. Not sure how much more I want to throw in for these characters, though. I've already gotten super lucky and I doubt I'll get any luckier.

Man, i nearly had a heart attack reading the news this morning in GL, that we'd be getting 5000 tickets.

Then I realized it was the new Mog King Currency. FUCK the guy that named them "tickets" instead of vouchers or some other type of named ticket.

Anyways, did my 10+1 ticket, got King and the rest blue trash, just as disappointing as my last 10+1 ticket. I have a bunch of lapis saved up, so I went ahead with a FF9 banner pull 10+1 and got this:

Eiko was the one I wanted from this banner for "Kill with Esper" shenanigans, so that's pretty damn exciting. Got Black Waltz and Steiner too. Didn't even have to burn any of my 4* tickets.

Eiko has the same summon stuff that Garnet just got with a little more upside on her LB. The big reason I wanted her was the ability to remove breaks from the party without dispelling all other effects. Beatrix is a damage dealing chainer not really tied to an element. I have enough of those so i was "meh" on her.

I spent more than my usual 5 tickets on this banner in Global and got 2 Black Waltz. What's bad about that is that I got a bunch of gold crystals and not one Steiner. Not one. Ugh. On top of that, one of my gold crystals turned into a rainbow and I got Arenea. Yeah. Off banner rainbows! I guess running through this mog king event is gonna be painful.

Yeah, idk. I'm running into this dilemma where I have a lot of summoning resources (~250 tix, 117k lapis) but nothing I really want to use it on. My main party is Ayaka, Ramza, Basch, Balthier, and Orlandu, so I've got all roles covered pretty well.

If you're happy with that setup, then there's probably no need to pull. If this wasn't a FF9 banner, I wouldn't have pulled no matter what the units did, but I do love FF9. Since I stopped spending money on the game, I'm pretty much hoarding for cross-over events and limited time units that are worth something, so I get that feeling.

The ones you have that are 7* ready right now... I only have Lightning on JP. She's okay, I guess. She got better with her TM at 7*. She was my first, or darn near first, 7*. She was good for a bit but got outclassed quick. Once I got something else to 7*, outside rest of my main group, I replaced her. Initially it was about getting the team to 7*. Was glad when I could replace her though.

Yesterday was strange because I ended up with two rainbows from half dailies. In Global it came down rainbow and I ended up with Beatrix. I think she sucks as a unit, but good for that Mog King bonus. In JP, it came down rainbow and I got my 4th Kunshira. JP LOVES giving me her. It was good since I can get my first Super TMR. It's not amazing, but it works well enough for her.

I also realize that the 5* guy on the current JP banner, Machina, is terrible. Man, what a bad unit. I got two of him and got him to 7* just so folks to get the 200% from the Mog King, but damn, he can't do anything well. I also tried someone's 7* other 5* character (can't think of his name) and he sucks, too. I hope folks didn't waste a lot of resources trying to get these guys. I burned more tickets and lapis than I wanted to, but ultimately it wasn't worth it. I hope the next banner is good.

I do have a question about Freya. What's the best way to use her? I got 7* version of her, but I don't know what I should do in order get the most out of her unit...or maybe she's not worth building up. Perhaps someone can provide some insight into this.

Freya is used as a finisher with her LB if you're not using 2 of her in the party. It's incredibly strong for a magic one and can deal serious damage when properly chained.

Yeah, I don't have two of her. I noticed she's a lot like Lenneth where she can have 3 abilities chained, but I feel like hers aren't as powerful as Lenneth's. I figured I was doing something wrong, because mine has over 1k MAG and I feel like she doesn't hit as hard as I expected.

He was my first non troll Rainbow ever, so now I am set for when 7* comes around with my boy again. (He's still currently in my group, but feels behind the time in some way. As for free Ashe and Lightning... they can keep it only for new players. They'd be a great way to start. But for vets, meh. Especially since we all mostly have Lightning.

Right now, I'm still teetering on my alt right now. I don't put as much as I used to into it just due to time these days. But having A2 and TT there makes it difficult. ;_; My main is okay for now.

Haven't watched the vid yet, but I'm basing it off of this from reddit:

"You will be able to obtain two units (3★-5★) and one 4★Trust Moogle(5%) or 5★ Trust Moogle(10%) per 30 million downloads celebratory ticket."

Also I forgot to mention that there's the Lapis Raffle, which the top prize winner gets 1 Million Lapis. That's almost enough to get both an A2 and a 2B when the Nier banner returns, lol.

Watching the show now and I think Lara is gonna be bad. She's free? Yeah. Tomb Raider Aileen looks pretty cool. Not sure if I'm gonna roll for her. The biggest thing is for Tidus to get his enhancements! Woot! I've been holding off doing enhancements until he got his and looks like that's coming. I'm excited. After that I think I'll build up regular Aileen and finish off Soliel.

I don't care about the Tomb Raider banner, though. I don't think it's gonna have the same effect as Nier. Good luck to everyone going after Tomb Raider Aileen, though.

Read through the Aileen Tomb Raider variant info this morning, thought I'd try a 10+1 for her - double rainbow - surely one of them has to be her!

Pyro Glacial Lassworm and Marie (my first of each of them). I mean, I can't complain, but dang. Couple that with my free Lightning (my first one) and I've had a pretty good rainbow run, though not the one I wanted. Finally got to burn that Rainbow Robe TM moogle I've been sitting on forever though, feels good.

I threw 5 tickets at the banner and did the daily and ended up with a couple of Dungeon Soleil and Egypt Abel. No rainbow crystals, though. Not sure how I feel about this banner, but I'm kinda pissed about their situation with iOS users because I lost a day of play and wasn't able to do a few more runs on the previous raid. Such a bummer. I'll probably commit to dailies going forward and maybe I'll get Dungeon Aileen.

Anyone gonna put some resources into this Lara Croft unit?
