Final Fantasy VII PS4 |OT| One last time before the remake

Is the Chocochampion trophy anything in particular because I won a race at the Golden Saucer and I didn't get the trophy.
I'm assuming this one might be story related to get
Barret out of Coral prison
?

We're no strangers to fucking fans
You know the rules and so do I
An action game is what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other company
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna buy your crap
You always let you down you've finally made me run around and hate you
Always gonna make you cry
Time to say goodbye
Always telling lies and hurt you

We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but
You're too dumb to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up
Always gonna let you down
Gonna make it an action game
Always gonna make you cry
Final fantasy 7 say goodbye
Always gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Wtf is this shit? Written to the tune of Rick Astley? Is this guy butthurt about the remake and the PC port? Think you need to get a life mate and step away from the computer.

Jesus, I leave the thread for the day and come back to this shit? lol

Bought this yesterday and I played about three hours last night. Still such an amazing game; I love it so much. I've not long
met Aeris
and
I'm now her 'bodyguard'
. It's been probably ten years since I played this, so it's been a nice length of time for this stuff to seem fresh again. And I still love the music so, so much. It might be my favourite part of the game overall, even if this soundtrack is of a slightly lesser quality than in the PS1 original.

Even though I missed saying Barrett's snoring kept me up all night and the one optional line to Don cornelio I shouldn't have too much of a problem getting Barret as my date as long as I do everything else correctly?

How long is it? I've never played FF7, thinking about picking it up but my backlog is killing me.

I'd have to say, the theme that came with this game is just glorious.
The background, icons, music and sound effects, all of it.
One thing I miss though, is some movement.
Maybe we could have seen different cuts of Midgar, like trains running around the towers etc.

And about the game itself, I'd definitely want to aim for platinum.
One things though, I wish they made it compatible with 16:9 and made it full screen.
I also wish the background images were upscaled more crispier.
I'm not sure how good professional quality upscalers are these days,
but I guess maybe this is the best they could do?

The text, UI and character polygons are really crispy though.

The backgrounds look as good as I remember them from the original, so I don't think there was much they could do in that area.

The easily accessible cheats are so weird to me. I honestly would not have bought if I knew this.. the speed up is fine, but the other ones? Ugh.
I bought it because of the cheats. I want the story, don't want the combat and definitely don't want to grind. Doing the stair case without random battles is brilliant.

It's good to know I can make it back to a save point without dying if I need to by switching off battles.

Damn it. I got the limit break trophy during my first battle. Now everyone will know I'm a dirty cheat.

I didn't know about them till after I bought it but I think they are amazing for people like me that have played the game 5+ times. Playing through Midgar at 3x speed with infinite life is so fast and fun. Best playthrough so far.

Correct, 320x240.

I would have taken a re-rendered remake, but I suspect they don't have the original files anymore. It would have exposed some flaws, but it would have been monumentally better than the blurry mess.

they definitely don't have the original files any more and, even if they did, i doubt they have any software that could open them.

i love the ff vii dialogue so much lol

sometimes so rude :D

Part of the charm that's totally going to be lost in the remake I think. Along with stuff like crossdressing and the honey bee inn.

Just started playing this on pc a few weeks ago, thinking of starting over on ps4. Never played the game before first ff experience was 9 and 10 so I need to see what the big deal is haha. Of the 3 hours I have played the best part has been the music.

This was worth £8.99 for the speed up option alone. Makes grinding/stealing a breeze!

Kalm done, just got Beta and now heading to the Mythril Mines to grind some limit breaks.

goddamnit I love this game no matter how many times I play it.

What's the best guide to use to get the barret date and the cloud dress up thing?

I used the Brady Guide my wife still had in our basement, but there was no underwear given to Cloud in the Honey Bee Inn so I'm not sure if something's changed in this version. Cloud still got picked and got the trophy.

You have to go in one of the rooms and should be at the end of the scenes.

The all-men tub scene you should get bikini briefs, make sure to talk to everyone at the end if not maybe.

It's just a points system anyway though, you don't have to get all the best key items.

P.S.

You can get your makeup done by the HoneyBee on the most far left of the HoneyBee makeup area (top door in the HoneyBee Inn). Does not affect anything.

They should just replace Cloud with Lightning for the duration of the cross-dressing.... lol.

I don't think that they ever mattered. Should just be the dress, cologne and wig that make the difference. Probably an error in coding that they've persisted with.

Speaking of errors that persist, what exactly was fixed in the most recent release of the PC version which can be expected in this one? Does the W-Item glitch still work? Did they fix learning Pandora's Box more than once? Anything else of note?

The remake and Smash DLC pushed me to buy this. I played it for the first time a couple of years ago but the friend I borrowed it from only had the first two discs. I enjoyed it a lot though so it's finally time to finish this game.

Ok, I bought the game just for the theme (which is super nice) but since I bought it I wanted to check out how it looks on PS4, and now I played for around 2 hours non-stop. It was my first revisit of this game since when I played it in 1998. Imagining how each scene would look in remake makes it more interesting to play.

I love how cloud is just telling his story and tifa is all like, uh what? I don't remember any of this. Lol

Empathy and sympathy :( Tifa is great.

I might actually platinum this. That trophy list is pretty reasonable excepting the 99,999,999 gil silver trophy. Getting Aeris's final limit break is grindy but nothing compared to some of the worst trophies I've hunted.

The theme it came with is also pretty great for fans.

Is this any different than the PC version? I'm a little unclear. (sorry if this has been asked already)

About to hit up the famous Temple of the Ancients.

Still so in love with this game.

My crew is 41-42. Aeris Knows Great Gospel.

I cant get enough of the music, I sit around in some areas just listening to it, remember a younger Abylim, and a different time.

My parents were fighting pretty bad, and my sisters were so upset all the time.

So we played FF7. At first it was them watching me, but then my Older sister made a save and started playing when I wasnt. We'd make up little lyrics to match some of the music in game, good times.

Parents ended up divorcing, and disc 3 got wrecked when one of them threw the PS1 at the other.

I bought another copy, and played the shit out of it, beating it a few times, trying to understand more of what the game had to offer. So many hidden things, and I wasnt really allowed any net time back then, so we were on our own.

I dont know, it wasnt my first FF, wasnt even the first game I played where I got attached to the characters, but something about this game meshed with me hard.

It's probably my favourite game of all time, and I was worried that maybe I wouldnt like it in this day and age. Just finished Witcher 3, a gorgeous game.

I started this up and was just charmed by the shitty lego/horse hooves.

Yeah, it probably helps that I loved it as a kid, but I have revisited some older games and couldnt muster a play through. I think FF7 has stood the test of time, and it still remains one of my favourite games ever.

Playing this brings up a lot of memories, good and bad, but I am enjoying the moment.

Looking forward to the Remake, whether its in 3 installments or 10!

Now sitdown and have your GODDAMN cup of TEA!!

I keep cheating by mistake! I often click in l3 and r3 during downtown in games, like while waiting for attacks to land. Really have to break this habit, no way to just turn off cheats all together right?

Really wish there was a x1.5 speed too.

Just bought this. Haven't played it before (only FF game I played so far was X). Any advice on how to jump in as a rookie? Blind? Read some guide up front?

Go in and cheat. The battle system and random encounters are terrible. The materia system is nice but you don't need it that much if you keep limit breaking. I'm skipping a lot of battles and enjoying the game so much more.

I hated getting into battles every 3 steps and now this is so much better.
