Yup. Number 1 is one of my favorite characters in gaming. Very cool design, cool story. Love the whole game a ton but imho it's poor mechanical design that you can completely miss two party characters. Real shame.

Question about unlocking new limit breaks, do the X amount of kills only apply to the character or can they just be in the party for it to count?

I haven't caved yet. Then again I'm still only in Midgar and have yet to face an onslaught of enemies on the world map or elsewhere. I appreciate the use of L3's 3X speed though, especially during NPC scenes that require you to wait.

yeah, but that makes the battles run three times as fast. Does it really help with Tifa's limit break?
No, on the PS1 version, the battles run at 30fps, same as the rest of the game.

i thought it was slower but i just thought thats how it was. i remember the game didnt have a great frame rate but 15fps.. man. wtf happend..

This is nothing to do with the PAL PSX version, it's a port of the 2nd PC version, which is a port of the NTSC US PSX version. PAL doesn't factor into it at all, fortunately.
It runs and looks like it should.
Not sure where to put this and I can't start new threads, so can someone point me in the right direction?

For people having issues with Tifas limit reels: try the old trick of mashing the square button to momentarily 'pause' the reels. It makes it much easier. Especially for the gold saucer battle.

Awe, does the glitch screw up the trophy? Damn, i was planning on using that to attempt to get it, i may have screwed up now. Oh well

Someone here said it worked for them but I didn't really focus on Barret and just spammed the glitch and no trophy.

Okay so I'm trying to get the mythril to get Aerith's final limit break and I read that taking the air taxi out of Junon is supposed to spawn you on the map in a buggy so you can cross the river to get to the cave, but when I do it I'm on foot... halp.
EDIT: I figured it out, didn't realize you could even drive the buggy into Costa Del Sol.

Does clicking in R3 seriously not impact trophies and stuff? And clicking it again returns your states to where they were before?
I don't suspect there would be a problem with it (and I'm willing to accept responsibility if I'm wrong on that!) and I think you'd have a lot of fun doing so. Unfortunately, the Junior status makes it so that you can't create your own threads, yeah... that would definitely be ideal. It's just that I'm a little worried you'll read tons of spoilers while posting here.
But if you think you can avoid 'em, by all means, type away!

This is the PC PORT.
It was a bug in the PC port also.
The PC one was never fixed as far as i know so....

I don't know how the controls are in the Steam release, but back on the original PC release, the default controls were all mapped to the numpad, so you could play it with one hand.

if we complain enough we may be able to get a patch. Else we're gonna be listening to the first 30 seconds of every song in the game.
There are worse bugs concerning the menus to be honest.. unless it's just me but no one else seems to have noticed that.

Strangely enough, yup!
Fantastic, be sure to let them know that it's the same issue that was present in the FFX HD port on PS4. That was patched eventually, but oddly enough this glitch wasn't present in the PS3 version.
