The super exciting thing about this is that it's a classic JRPGs going full open world. ( Anyone claiming this isn't an open world at this point has their head in the sand.)

The open world isn't exciting but the fact that's its a JRPGs is. Like Elden ring was good because it was a souls in an open world.

Everything good about Elden Ring is also good about souls. The open world just connects it and gives it a grander scale. I think Rebirth will be the same

Rebirth has Ubisoft like towers though, that unlocks activities.

Dunno how they are doing it, but in video looked very similar to Farcry 3 implementation.

Hopefully it's fun and encourages exploration.

For me Xenoblade nails the JRPG open world potential, whilst also emphasising a story driven narrative structure. Especially the 1st and 3rd entry.

Rebirth is giving me a similar vibe at that series in all the footage and info.

Tifa standing where Cloud was, Aerith where Zack. Who's getting shish kabob'd this time?

Neither of them, Cloud or Sephirot will be killed by Genova. Making a full change to the final boss in part 3.

Meh ubisoft towers get hyped as this terrible design choice in reality they are pretty neutral. Far Cry is boring because it's a bland FPS dude shooter cutting or removing towers actually wouldn't change much. ( I think Far cry 6 actually removed them?)

FF7 rebirth will automatically be way more interesting than any ubisoft game ever because it's FFVII! The combat system is already proven the world and enemy variety are so much more interesting. As long as the towers don't reveal everything I think they will be fine.

Controversial opinion if Elden ring had ubisoft towers I doubt it would have affected my enjoyment one bit...

At the end of the day all they do is reveal content. Whether the content is good or not is far more important.

So it's possible for the Weapon battles in the final part they might be high spectacle battles like some of the crazy shit we got in FFXVI.

Hamaguchi: So, I have a question for you. You know that in Final Fantasy VII there are those Weapon creatures? If we were to introduce them like summons as another kind of entity-like creature, do you think that would be too much? Or would you enjoy it?

RPGFan: I think that would be very cool. Giant Kaiju battles are awesome.

[Laughs from the room]

RPGFan: I actually enjoyed it in FFXVI a lot. It was a lot of fun to do stuff like that. But who knows? Whenever we get to fight the Weapons, you know they're really big. Maybe we need big summons as well.

[More laughs]

Hamaguchi: We will take it into consideration!

Amazing. I might get deluxe... although I have no use for audio cd or artbook.
So it comes down to which steelbook I prefer

Must be a conscience decision that some of the VA's for the English cast loosely resemble the main cast (Red and Cait ofc!)

It won't let me upload anymore images for some reason, but Matt Mercer does kinda resemble Vincent too.

Forgotten Capital climax means this will likely be the best game of the 3. For me the original was at its best between Midgar and the infamous scene.

This means the game unlocks the full party and pretty much covers all ground in the game, and while they might create some new parts, the third part shouldn't be too long to make though its Square Enix.

About Zack,
I think its some sort of limbo scenes and he will eventually find peace when Cloud comes to terms with himself. There should be only one Buster sword in the main timeline, and Cloud wields it.

And Aerith will be very interesting.

Because if they stay true to the storyline she has to die in Rebirth. Which means that for the final part you have one less character to use, and she's quite popular on top. But if they retcon her fate, it won't end well either.
