People are calling me out for siding on the doom and gloom path, but we have no evidence to support your theory about things being more fleshed out either.
Square needs to get behind this real fast and explain themselves
Just from the very nature of being multiple entries means that the team can spend more time and resources to each game. Instead of rushing to finish a massive game in a single entry, they can take their time to meet realistic deadlines and flesh out what they can in each area. It won't be a single budget strained in one single instance, which may cause the company to be weary of the risk of putting all your eggs in one basket, but rather over the course of multiple games, which gives the company time to generate more money and fund them all healthily.
It's a much safer move by SE, and I think the entries will be better for it.
