FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 |OT| Change the Future

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Anyone else had this problem? Or did I leveled up sooo wrong?? (had Serah fighting role at 10 and magic one at 17.. the contrary for noel)

Not really because it's important that you stagger your enemies too. I think you should focus on magic for Serah and attack on Noel.

I have a question about the casino. Are any of the games required for fragments? I think I noticed four or so were for sale, but the area has five...

When I played the jp version we had like 100% fail on the luck questions. The luck ones came up around 6-7 times and we failed ALL of them. Extremly frustrating, especially when you have to hunt down captain cryptic. Some questions are also totally odd, my gf had a pretty good memory of what happened in the novels so she even knew some answers that apperently just were in the novels.

I remember there was one question about chocobo races and I answered
the Final Fantasy VII reference
. I was happy and worried at the same time.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
The quizzes are just shit. Easiest is to have a full list (probably nothing in english yet) and tons of luck for those luck questions. There are at least maps for the positions of captian cryptic (on JP Wikis).

Haven't reached them yet, but I perused some of the questions in the strat guide. Who the fuck would know ANY of these answers? Most of the questions have absolutely fuck-all to do with anything relatable to this dogshit universe.

The farther I dig into this game the less and less I like it. Ultimately I have a feeling it will be a real tough argument on which XIII game I dislike more. :/

Thanks! I staggered him like 20 times before killing him but I think the problem is that I under developed the roles.

Is there a way to prioritize moves like FFXII? I keep casting protect instead of protectga.

Also at what point do you learn haste/slow on syn/sab.

I'm grinding a tad on Yaschas Massif and obtained a
Behemoth
in only my first 4th encounter. However, it's a fucking pain to level up because of the requirements (I need 3 star items now), meaning I'm still sticking with Urudimmu (sp?), which is ridiculously over-powered despite being one of the first monsters you can get. :lol

Excluding New Bodhum at the beginning, I've only been to 3 areas in the game and Noel's Commando role is at level 80+, as is Serah's Ravager role. I'm a tad overpowered I think... :lol

By the way, did you do 3 part 1? I recommend doing that first than jumping to 3 part 2.

Later battles should give you more xp.

I got to the point where some enemies drop 200. That's still pretty terrible, since I could double that amount in Sunleth and Archtyle Steppe just as easily.

But wow. This area pretty much shows all of the flaws with the Mog Clock system in one fell swoop.

They have managed to take the premise of a futuristic city and destroy it completely with all these strange things.

Also the 'luck' ones actually have answers and aren't luck based.

Eh? I am sure we had one of those question two times in the jp version, first time we picked one choice and it was wrong. The next time we took the other choice and it was WRONG too.

I'm up to Episode 4 and I haven't found a monster MED besides the original Cait Sith I got. Is there a better one out there?

Maybe has been already mentioned, but is there a reason why Academia runs so smooth and the rest of the game has a crappy embarassing framerate?

I'd like to know this also. I'm not a big fan and I'm tempted to teach Serah MEDIC but I heard she's shite at it.

Me too. I can capture a white chocobo but I don't know how good it is. My experience in the healer department is: Monster-low HP, Serah-doesn't have multi target magic, Noel-crap magic stat.

The flan in Augstia Tower, or Green Chocobo in Yashas Mountain (forgot the time).

I have that flan, but it dies when I need it, so I trashed him. What chocobo is better, white or green?

Which one of them? The second one isn't so hot.

The rainy one... it's so fluid, and that's strange because there's so much stuff happening on screen.

Anyway this is the second location from this game I visually like, after Valhalla that is. The rest has been largely inferior to XIII's ones sadly, even when it comes to the same locations reimagined. The short dev-time is evident everywhere, even in the art direction never been before so bland for a FF. Unless Tri-Ace really put its hands where shouldn't.

There's a square/circle version and a triangle/x version of each luck question, and (seemingly) the answers are always the same for each version.

cool, just got a red chocobo, he's pretty awesome! now i'm gonna try to get a blue one but his encounter rate seems even lower than the red's encounter rate... this could take a while.

Can someone tell me where the damn I'm supposed to find that watch for the quest in Yaschas Massif 100 AF? I'm supposed to find it in 1x AF and I've looked everywhere. The guide says northwest Pass of Padra and I've checked everywhere. EVERYWHERE! It's driving me crazy.

On another note, I just finished Academia 400 AF. The boss fight was really fun, and I feel like it could have been challenging, but I know I'm overpowered. It's a shame, I didn't mean to, but it's so easy to just run around doing quests or hunting monsters. I loved the look of Academia, but whomever designed the first part of it with the constant stream of enemies with no rewards should be shot and killed.

At the very north part of the western section, it's hidden at the bottom of a chasm off the edge of the map. It's pretty far away and very hard to see.

Need some help here guys:
I'm at Oerba 300 AF and am doing the 2nd Mog clock puzzle. How do I solve it?

Just use the cheat, it'll save you a lot of time, plus I'm pretty sure each clock puzzle is randomly generated when you enter each temporal rift/complete a stage so not everyone may get the one you're having problems with.
Also, first post here, yay.
Already finished the game and got all fragments, just waiting to get the Serendipitous trophy and get my (first!) plat!

I suspect they optimized it because variants of the same area have way more stuff going on.

I checked there and threw Mog a few times, nothing. I'll check again, thanks! That's where I figured it would be since the quest picture shows that area, but the treasure sphere or cube must be microscopic or something because I can't see it at all. I'll keep trying.

This morning I've beaten Omega and I've realized my SEN monster is pretty bad at taking magic damage. What are good SEN monsters at this point? (chapter 6)

Ugh... I tried recommending the game to one of my friends and he just said "if I wanted to play Pokemon, I'd play Pokemon."

I mean how does one go about replying to something that fucking stupid? is such a thing even possible?

Sounds like he doesn't know the mechanics of the game.

Thanks for that link, but I managed it in the end XD. I really like those anomloy puzzles.
BTW, what
artifact should I have so that the Red Chocobos don't eat up all my Greens?

It's supposed to be in the area without the eclipse, right? I can't find it worth shit.

None, you just have to deal with it.

So, as someone who hated FFXIII's story, but liked Gran Pulse and the 3 person combat (wasn't a fan of being restricted to 2 for 15 hours), is this game an improvement?

I would say so. I had more or less than same feelings about XIII and I'm loving the sequel.
