Anyone know if for the casino coin trophy... anything you get in the slots counts toward the 10K total? Or does it specifically have to be the You've won 250 coins, etc ?

Im trying to get this currently, its the last one I need.

Apparently you need to win 10K coins in one sitting... Meaning you have to leave the Slot with 10K more than you started. Ive heard you should tape the L1 button down and leave it overnight.

That's why I love Tales of games, all the costumes is in the game, even has a WORKING coliseum. Sure the costumes ended up on xbla, talking about Vesperia here, but still could be gotten in the game.
It's too bad that the bulk of Tales of Xillia's costumes are downloadable now! They started it with Graces, though, since the bulk of the more fun costumes were downloadable in that game.

How do you win those races with the big medals? My level 45 silver chocobo can't win those. Do I infuse him with someone? I can't level it up anymore.

Grace's costumes are ingame aren't they? I mean, can be acquired in the game itself?

Thanks! :) There isn't a trophy for racing is there? I already have Casino stuff. I guess it'll help him be a more better SEN too?

No, just for winning 10K casino coins.

Slight Episode 5 spoiler:
I just finished the New Bohum in the future part and got my first Paradox Ending. I now have a new future Academi open. Does that lead directly to the last dungeon/part of the game? How many hours do I have left until the ending if I only follow the story?

Can anyone recommend a good way to have the L1 button held down automatically for the slots fragment? No idea how to do it, I'm not very imaginative. This and the bestiary fragment are my only two left. Platinum here I come!

Couple of quick ones, if I skip a cutscene and a live trigger is in it will that also skip and will it matter, also in battle if I select Sen/ Sen will my defense be improved right there when I choose or do I have to input a command?

Not many. That Academia time period is the game's final dungeon. You have at best an hour and a half left till the ending, provided you are quick on the final dungeon which is pretty short, but annoying.

Use a rubber band.

Thanks! Would you recommend watching most Paradox Endings before the real one or not?

You can't miss important live triggers, but you can miss lesser ones (and possibly lose out on adornment rewards).

You get a defensive bonus just for having SENs out.

You can't watch the rest of the paradox endings till you beat the game since you need the Paradox Scope fragment skill which you gain after the credits.

Each character has 1-4 extra costumes (some more, some less) in the disc, the rest are DLC only.
Yup. A lot of the better ones are DLC in Graces... but they were kinda pricey. 400 yen.

As for Xillia... Forget about the costumes, since you barely get any in the game (like, 4)--pretty much all of them are DLC. I just bought the school one because I liked the battle theme (part of the problem, etc.-- at least I didn't buy the Kratos one for End of a Thought!).

Well I beat the game a couple days ago. Where are you guys finding all these rare monsters? I think I encountered a giant red orb thing before but I ran away from it. Is that one of them?

I ended up using one of those life bracelets or whatever they're called. Now to sit back and wait... for a few hours if all accounts are correct.

Those are sidequest givers, lol.

Turn on the rare monster fragment skill and you start seeing 'distortions' instead of random battles, and they make your screen go whack. Most rares are in those things.

Nifty. I don't have that one yet, and I have like 140 fragments. I want to fight that

I mean I encountered them out in the field. I know which orbs you are talking about but this one was different, more like a distortion and it caused the mog clock to activate. I guess I'll have to find that fragment skill then.

Not that I want it, but its not even on PSN yet. Do they really update this late? I might bite on Noel's costume, but that's all I'm going to buy until the story DLC comes out, unless its horridly priced. Going by these items, its going to be.

Yeah, those are the distortions (though they're black, not red I think). Go swing at them.

Expect story dlc to be $15. Only a handful of dlc have been $20 and that's because they were huge / also had disc releases. This is SE, so they will probably prove me wrong and charge $20 for 1 hour of content. Don't hold your breath for rockstar quality dlc(gta, rdr.)

150/160 fragments found. Will be returning it to Redbox tomorrow so I'm trying to accomplish as much as I can lol. Had the game since last Wednesday.

Looking for a specific gate seal so I can restart the episode 4 battle but can't find it. Other than that, the rest of the fragments I need involve battles/finishing the bestiary. Probably won't accomplish these things tonight but im happy with the progress I made. The $60 I would have used on this game can now be used for another release. Great game though. Loved every minute of it.

If you didn't enjoy XIII, is this game worth the purchase?

I'm mildly interested because the time travel based plot reminds me sooo much of Chrono Trigger, and the game is simply beautiful.

Did you like chapter 11? If you did, you should enjoy 13-2. Stay away if you didn't.

Maybe I'm just playing the game wrong, but there isn't a boss yet that I haven't died on at least once. I've tried three or four times so far to kill the boss at
Yaschas Massif 10AF
and still haven't beaten it.

Chapter 11 is where you hit Gran Pulse the first time, right? Sorry, my memory is a bit hazy, haven't played XIII in a while.

Well yes, I've enjoyed it for the most part. But I'm wondering if the plot is really as bad as people say? It's not a dealbreaker for me, but a good plot is the icing on the cake for me.

I'm 20 MSP away from buying the Lightning DLC. What do I do!?! And yes, I'm part of the problem :p Although this'll probably be the only DLC I buy for this game, unless the story DLC prove to be extensive/worthwhile.
