my question is: how likely are we to get a sequel? Hasn't the game bombed just about everywhere?
There are chances the game had a better launch than XIII in some western region, but let's just wait for real numbers before talking. I think XIII-3 it's a possibility already with japanese sales like that though.

I want to get that white behemoth dude, he's tamable, I five star him every time, and I've fought him about 10 times but I'm still not getting him.

Try using Feral Links. They increase the capture rate.

We shall see. But any solid numbers (like in Japan) will automatically confirm the development of XIII-3 in case the plan ever existed in Square Enix already. If they intend to expand the story in other ways, that could not happen. As for me, I hope to get a XIII-3 by the end of 2013. It'll be cool to see what other improvements they can inject in it, considering they'll probably also get rid of the time-travelling stuff so they'll have to reinvent anew some gameplay formula (I guess it'll be cool pulling out a "A Link to the Past" type of experience, dimensional stuff you know).

I'd rather get a whole XII-3 than extra DLC/random nonsense chapters. No dumb novel for Sazh and Dajh, they deserve their own game.

The ending it's so "big" that I really doubt they can get away from it with just a simple DLC. I'd be sad if so.

I could see them cheesing out on the ending pretty easily... something like (ENDING SPOILERS AHEAD)
Lightning discovers the ultimate enemy, the source of all chaos or something, and awakes from her crystal slumber to defeat it. After a few hours of exploring Valhalla and fighting your way through it, you fight this boss and then everything returns to normal and everyone lives happily ever after
Of course, something like that happening wouldn't make much sense... but I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's what ended up happening

Besides using feral links like others have said, there's a fragment skill that increases the odds of getting a monster crystal later on.

I spent 20 minutes fighting His Royal Ripeness and got him to 999%, only to find he can't be staggered?

But since he can't be staggered, he will stay at 999%... which means you do 999% damage for the rest of the fight.

How does getting fragment skills work? I got some a long time ago when I had like 40 fragments and I go back every once in a while, but I don't get anymore. Does a specific fragment unlock a skill or is it amount-based? I have 86 fragments and nothing cool.

Got the clock stopper trophy, finally. Was doing that when I was farming. I maxed out the Silver chocobo I have. He wins a lot more, but even maxed, he still loses the bigger races. I guess I messed him up. lol
Oh well, I have everything in the Casino now, no point in racing. Bleh.

Still wasn't enough, with his flan army healing him like crazy.
I honestly don't think they were lying when they said Fabula Nova Crystallis would be a 10-year thing.
If you count it from 2006, I guess that's believable if there's a Versus 2.
Yeah, that's when I started counting from at any rate. I didn't believe them at first, but I can see them doing another in the XIII series and another Type-0 too. The next generation of everything would be good to go by then as well.

What, you mean like when you don't get a jackpot, just 3 chocobos or something? I got the trophy after winning 4k in chocobo races, and then didn't actually get the trophy until winning another 8k in the slots =/
Exclusive weapon, even.
The Japanese numbers are pretty bad. The game isn't even going to sell a million copies.

A simple colour swap that probably isn't even worth using compared to the best weapons in the game. I'm not sure what the big deal is, it's a pretty lame exclusive.
I only used Serah's Genji bow for a few hours before something superior came along, this Xbox exlusive weapon is probably similar
I saw that earlier, it's $1! They better not litter versus with dlc.

That's why I love Tales of games, all the costumes is in the game, even has a WORKING coliseum. Sure the costumes ended up on xbla, talking about Vesperia here, but still could be gotten in the game.

Is there any story premise for her showing up in the colliseum? I mean, she was dimension hopping in Dissidia 012.
Get her if you want her in your party, otherwise save the money. There's no real story. It's just a fight like the Omega boss battle.
His outfit is on XBL...for $3.

i bought them for vesperia because i was too lazy to get them in-game. i'm still going to buy the serah costume "exposure and defense" and the ezio noel costume.
