BUT FF13 already has a job system
True, but FFX-2 was just so crazy it was awesome.
Sorry, I'll stop derailing the thread now.

She'll give it to us straight, she didn't hesitate on FFXIII's problems at all which is why I value her opinions. Despite her slight obsession with all things FFXIII, she didn't do any sugarcoating.
I didn't hear any complaints in this department at all...So apparently the new complaint is that FFXIII-2 is too non-linear. I wonder if this will be as widespread as "FFXIII is too linear".

Be back later lol
The oneRight now most of the complaints seem to be centered on the ending.
Are the voice actors the same as in XIII? failing that Subtitles and asian voices?
Sounds like my kind of FF but god good the voice acting made me hate XIII
Why would they when they can sell it for $2.99 lol.
But FFXIII's is not as flexible. However, since this is super-OT, we can take this to the awesome FF community thread.BUT FF13 already has a job system
ew they used the same awful looking icons from the XIII themes.
Yeah people are overreacting because the trophy.never says 'true ending', It says 'saw the story through to the conclusion." It is probably the generic one you get for each ending. There is an other trophy for seeing all the endings. The 'to be continued; tag line probably means you need to go back and fix time so that ending does not occur
Surely the other endings won't be radically different to the one everyone is complaining about though, especially if there's going to be a sequel?
Hilariously, the splash image has no Lightning in it.XMB theme unlocked for having a XIII save file.
There's an actual XMB splash image for the game this time too:
At least FF8 had the Laguna's dream sequences. Now, if only the whole story was on that level...FF8 and Advent Children were such masterpieces of script. Amirite?
So do we know if you need a completed save file to access the extra goodies? I played/finished the first game on a 360 but am getting this one for PS3. Can I just swipe the PS3 version from my bf, hit the first save point and call it a day?
Ending spoilers discussion, GET AWAY or THUNDAGA or something. It is beginning to appear you need toresolve more anomalies to see more of the ending...like the developers mentioned I believe?
People are seeing variations on the final battle with Lightning joining you in the fight and Sazh making an appearance. They are still getting the 'bad' ending though. Speculations are that you need to chose the right live triggers events and collect more fragments.
Also, people are saying there are. Is this an official source on this?8 paradox endings

For some people, yes, since people on GAF haven't gone through the game yet. It's different in the case for, for example, 999 because that stuff is visible to you from the beginning. Is the potential number of paradox endings really a spoiler?
Well...ULTROS! said:Since we know the actual ending (didn't see it) is the story better or still Toriyama terribad?

I treated it the same way as "how many dungeons there are in SS" because even that was/is considered a spoiler in the OT. I think even in the CT ER thread, the number of endings would probably still be considered a spoiler for those who haven't played the game yet. With GAF, it's better to be safe rather than sorry. I don't like seeing people banned or warned for the little things, you know? Especially if they contribute meaningful conversation pieces.
A little further in. About 4 hours now? Seems like most of the main gameplay elements have been introduced. Cool stuff so far. The last dungeon I cleared was quite large with lots of different paths and loot to look for.
This really is a very different beast from XIII. Loving it.
Safe zones !
For someone who has FFXIII PS3 but haven't put that much time into it, would getting FFXIII-2 U.S. version be a good idea or more of a 'wait until it's at a lower price' sort of deal?
I also hope the U.S. version has the same free XMB theme too.
I don't imagine the story will be that different from the Japanese counterpart, but you never know.
In the title menu you can watch an entire recap of the first game.
Datalog screenshot confirms this (sort of). Also, people are saying there areparadox endings. Is this an official source on this?8
Just wait for lower price, since prices drop quick nowadays.Apdiddy said:For someone who has FFXIII PS3 but haven't put that much time into it, would getting FFXIII-2 U.S. version be a good idea or more of a 'wait until it's at a lower price' sort of deal?

Am I the only one getting the NA CE?
Sure, the artbook could've been bigger, and wish we got the art cards and stuff the EU is getting, still looks nice.
The only thing that worries me is how the discs come. Paper sleeves will seem mega cheap to me.
