Has anyone with a 64-bit OS got the ffxivsetup.exe to work from http://awk.cenobyte.org/ffxiv/?

I am trying to run it on Win7 x64, but it keeps barking at me about the OS version...

I'm really hoping that this is just the 32-bit .exe file....

I used the direct download link in the OP and the installer started up just fine. Granted, download speeds once in the installer were shitty so Im using the torrent for the updates anyways.

Win7 64bit btw.

Also, Im not in the beta, Im just getting it downloaded in case I get in. The link to the exe in the OP worked fine to get me that far.

Are you using different names every time you see the memory? Cause if you use the same one the previous tries stay on memory and you'll just keep running into them.

Tried a different name, still reading as Kefka.

I downloaded that and had no issue at all running Win7 x64. Fully patched and ready to go when I do get in now

I just tried it again and I got several servers. Are you sure you're doing it right?

Can anyone help me with a problem I'm having with Archer?
I bought a bow and a stack of arrows, equip the bow, don't know where to equip the arrows, and I assume I don't have to.
When I use Refill it says that the action cannot be performed.
When I attack a mob, my character just throws stones…
I'm trying Weathered Shortbow with Warped Arrows, if combination matters.

You have to manually add the torrent to utorrent. Navigate to Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads\ffxiv-beta\d96437e6\metainfo and youll see a torrent file

The ffxivsetup is the downloader/installer and the patch file is the data that the setup file works with. I think this is how it works anyway. I installed the normal way.

Yeah I think Im an idiot. I downloaded and installed FFXIVsetup and then went to fin the torrent in the Beta directory. I started that in utorrent and then downloaded the patch as well. The patch is at 1% and now I realize that the torrent and the patch are downloading the same damn thing lol.

That said I doubt they care about me saying anything postive about the game so far- it looks good, and sounds good and seems quite a bit easier to get into then FFXI was so that's good I suppose.

So I gave up playing, even with a top of the line system it runes horrible. It looks pretty but soon as I start to move forward it stutters like crazy. That along with the wonky UI makes it infuriating to even try.

Also I couldn't figure out at all how to use miner, or lay of the land. I would of kept at it.. but like I said the game stuttering like that on a high end system even with stuff turned down made me lose patience.
