Well, for levels 1-50 it isn't too difficult to level crafting classes alongside your combat classes and craft your own HQ armor and weapons for cheap. That said, I would only suggest that if you enjoy the process of crafting. So how does crafting work in this game? Is it worth it for the average player to look into leveling some of the crafting classes or would I be wasting my time before I beat the main story?
Since they are bringing in people like Matsuno to write/design stuff for the game, do you think they could get Yoko Taro to write/design for 5.0?
I would pay double for an expansion like that.
Has anyone ever had to deal with a dead security token? Mine still works, but I'm worried that it may die any time. I've had it since 1.0. I bought the 1.0 LE for $15 so I could the token for extra inventory space in XI. I don't know what a person is supposed to do when a token dies. There's an emergency removal website, but from what I see, that's only for software tokens.
Would you pay triple for Nier event?

It's very involved and takes a long time unless you got $$$ and the gathering classes maxed.
What should i level to prep for samurai? Monk(pug)?
Getting gear for monk wouldn't be a bad idea. They're going to share gear early on
Make sure to save aetherpool/rowena's token (shire)+micro tomestone/zurvan totems for a sam/rdm weapon too obviously for when it hits 60

yeah, but if you're at that point already you can prep well before it's actually outThere will surely be the intermittent gear you can use for leveling (like the 115 rainbow set) added just so you don't need to touch raids or anything like that.
When I start leveling a new class the first thing I do nowadays is going to floor 51 of PotD solo to set up all shortcuts for level 60. Feels good to not have to bother about it again.Did PotD yesterday 1-30 floor. The creepy lady is stalking me! It does give quite a bit of exp! One...annoying thing and maybe also an advantage is that while levelling in PotD, I gain abilities that I don't currently have on my actual character, it does take out some excitement out, especially when I'm levelling a new class. On the other hand, I could easily try different jobs quite quickly.
Isn't it possible to get a box or something where I can store my items? Other than buying a house or retainers?
So once you beat floor 50 you get access to start at floor 51. Probably a dumb question, but if you choose to start at floor 51 instead, do you start at level 60?
He would kill off every NPC, troll you with cheese side quests to have you ponder how meaningless the world is, force you to fight your loot and destroy it, then make you erase your character. Let's do this.Since they are bringing in people like Matsuno to write/design stuff for the game, do you think they could get Yoko Taro to write/design for 5.0?

When you log in to the Mog Station you should be able to find an emergency removal code, which you'll need to use when the token dies.Has anyone ever had to deal with a dead security token? A shortcut in terms of getting ready for 50-60? There is more than 1 shortcut?
They mean setting up their hotkeys since entering floor 51 grants you lv60 with access to all your skills.
Holy crap this is the first I've heard of this. How do I get the 2nd retainer? You get 2 retainers for free ingame, so you have 175x2 slots there.
Also, in the inn you have the armoire, where you can deposite almost all The items you cannot get again once you have them, like AFs, seasonal event items or achievement items.
It's one of the easiest steps, but until you get there and unlock the quests for it you can only get the items through lore. How bad is the 260 anima quest? Hoping I can fly through it or do it in between collecting crystal sand and umbrite.
Just like you got your first one, haha. Talk to a retainer vocate in one of the three cities.Holy crap this is the first I've heard of this. How do I get the 2nd retainer?

What's the best place to read about the cross class changes?Nothing, cross class system is getting changed.
They haven't gone into much detail on the cross class changes yet. To get to the Gold Saucer there should be a quest near the main aetheryte in Ul'dah. What's the best place to read about the cross class changes?
Also, level 33 - how do I access the casino thing?

Nah, that's pretty much it. You run Midas normal, every floor has a set of 3 items and each run drops 4 of them, collect those and trade them in for the specific gear.So how does the prototype midan gear work? Like, do you run alexander normal and what drops are those shafts and such that you accrue and trade in? Or is there another token to worry about? I'd like at least the aiming chest for glamour in the future.
