i think its just free form no ATB was ever mentioned in any interview i dont remember. It's a fast pace more stylish KH battle system tho basically

Yes, this was definitely me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing - it was like I was in some haze. I almost slapped myself to see if I was dreaming.
Honestly, as soon as I saw the Disney logo, I freaked out because I knew if they were going to show the KH HD collection, they would have done it with the other PS3 games, lol.
You played KH2? That game is definitely an RPG, and it has sequences like the ones in this trailer. Just relax, your levels and equipment are intact.
Oh right, because it's still based on Versus XIII. I played KH2 yes and am fine with an action RPG in and of itself. I'm just not sure if I'd like action RPG gameplay in a mainline Final Fantasy. I still feel they should relegate that to spinoffs. Maybe I'm a bit too traditional in this regard, I dunno. Will see how this is going to pan out in the SE conference.

Them feels! I was so psyched when i saw Square Enix logo and then when i finally saw Nomura, i knew that all that horrible wait is finally going to worth it. And then the actual trailer started and boy did it deliver.
Not to mention the teaser for KH 3.
This was one of the best E3 for me without any doubt.

I fail to see how they "just used Verses [sic]", when they've obviously put huge effort into turning it into a PS4 game. They aren't "just doing" anything, they made the decision to make this for PS4(/Xbone) after probably realizing it's too ambitious for PS3 to handle. And seriously, this doesn't mean they don't have some FFXVI under development. They just wanted to reveal the game that's coming sooner first than make promises of a game that's probably still at least 2 years away.

Not really, most people will probably call it an action-rpg because that is what it always has been. The game will probably have some sort of leveling system and some sort of very basic stat/loot system, and probably some sort of character growth system for passive abilities. It's unlikely they'd show an actual numerical value for character HP if there wasn't some sort of stat system you can manipulate.

I wonder what that "Link Form" command is on the left side in the menu. Do you think Noctis will be able to link with other characters to do special attacks? :O
I see great attention to detail
- like @1:40 when Noctis is hiding for cover at the dining table and his mate on the right hand side of the screen closes the door as a shield
- or @1:50 the collision detection when the tank character jumps in and the second guy he hits with his sword flies off in the correct direction that tank's sword came from
- @2:01 climbing on the air ship and his hands appear to hold on to the right places and then he puts one hand on the side of the ship with one leg on an angled ledge.

That sounds pretty rad. As much as I loved FFIX, that battle system had to go. FFXIII wasn't the right answer, what with how terrible it was. I'm hoping for a good story & good characterization and not too much anime-convolution.

Nomura and this guy, actually. No idea who did what, but he's listed at the end of the trailer in the small text at the bottom as a character designer along with Nomura.

Final Fantasy XV was formerly called Versus XIII, and is an Action RPG, we don't know if it's exclusive or not.
Final Fantasy XIV is an MMO, on PC, PS3 and PS4.
It won't be.

A part of me worries that is basically going to be the Uncharted formula with magic and swords instead of guns.
I don't mind the game going in that direction, but I just hope there is enough good extra content and detail this time.

Yes. The event is for press and SE will divulge a bit on the FF titles they revealed at E3 thus far. This means, LRFFXIII, FFXIV, and FFXV. Don't expect THAT much from FFXV. My guess is that they'll give some real standard stuff about the game such as why it took so long and what the vision is and dev progress. I expect a chunk of content at TGS with possibly the return of another closed theater.
