Honestly though, if this isn't a bait post I will say this as someone who actually liked the original XIII: Stop requesting the XIII cameos. This is a new game. Let it be its own game. We don't need them in it. We don't need Cloud or Squall in it. We don't need Bartz or Terra or Cecil in it.

So I just purchased Type-0 and the Demo.

Suppose I should now rectify the small issue of not owning a PS4 somehow.

The hype has engulfed me. R.I.P.
 
I like how everybody saying XIII is its own game hasn't endured
the end of Lightning Returns
and the implications of that shit fest.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one!

It does help I managed to get Type-0 for £28 + free shipping.

Generally the game costs 35-45 to pre-order everywhere else so it was too tempting to pass.

Still under the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythos like FFXIII.

The FNC mythos is good anyway, it's just not well explained in FFXIII.

I don't want be that guy, but I'd say "less likely than Lightning".

That being said, if Nomura is not mad at being taken off anymore, I'd say that could happen...

What about Noctis in the new Dissidia though?
 
Considering Kingdom Hearts main pull are its cameos of Disney and Square Enix properties, any notion that the main cast of the past few mainline games (especially the ones with Nomura's character designs) won't show up is incredibly silly.

A huge stretch, especially since there's no cross-over of development staff, and SE is very aware of the Lightning's waning popularity. I know you're just saying "what if", but it's not something people should let occupy their thoughts, to be honest.

Yeah, it's mainly my own conjecture, but that was the first thing that came to my mind after finishing it.

I still have it in the back if my head, afraid they'll start acting on that precedent.

I think they will have a beefy story heavy hype trailer for the Sony presser at E3 then maybe a follow up world trailer that shows off the towns and different environments later in the E3 week or maybe at TGS.
 
I know I even argued with mods about this last year and turned out to be wrong, but...

seriously, there is no way in hell that FFXV is missing E3 this year. There's just no way.

Well skipping it last year kinda made sense, especially if they weren't ready to share that Nomura was going to be off the project. It would be kinda fucked up and look really bad if they showed up to E3 and Nomura still attached and then at TGS they are like oh Nomura is off now. But now there is no way it does. It is a little over a year at and its potentially the last E3 for XV.
 
You never know, guys. I think there is a slight chance it may miss E3, since the demo just came out not too long ago and they may want to save up enough material to host a private event for FFXV or a blowout at TGS like last year.

I'm sure even if there's not a huge blowout at E3 we'll get something. I doubt they'd show up for PAX but have nothing for E3.
 
There will be atleast a good trailer for the E3... SE's PR machine for FFXV started so i don't see it skipping this year's E3 lol
Once they start they "don't save up" anything.

100% Him and Lightning, both.

I mean, his motif is Darkness and his name is almost literally "Night Light."
Then Lightning's canon nickname is "Light."

They'll both be in KH3 as foils to each other playing off the "Light & Darkness" theme.

Plus they're both Nomura designs and he prefers to use his own characters when possible.

Kind of tangentially related to ffxv... In Type-0, what's up with the 'time to mission start' and a timer on the corner when you are at the main city or school? Does the game have a time limit and forces you to do missions at certain times or what? I was just looking at stream on twitch and was curious.

Doing side missions/cutscenes/etc. generally takes up an "hour" of game time, and when it's time for the next mission to begin, you're locked out of most activities until you complete whatever the current operation is.

Sidequest completion carries over on ng+, so if you do miss one, just do a second playthrough.

Also, if you're watching the same stream as I am, the player's making me rip my hair out.
