The chocobo races are so cheap. Been trying to win the "full field" for a while now because Ignis keeps getting an insane turbo boost at the last stretch.
The other chocobos have a faster default speed, their sprints are faster, I wouldn't even attempt these without the stamina greens. It's funny because it ends up looking like all 4 of us are using underhanded tactics to win
I thought they were saying that they killed a bunch of them off-screen, but it looks to me like they only one they killed was Shiva, who they obviously didn't kill since she was too busy photobombing Prompto. And they were at least present during the first two, so I was guessing that's what they meant.
Bahamut and Ifrit were totally accounted for, too, so I dunno.
talking about Titan and Leviathan, that's obviously them, but that's not what happened at all from a player perspective in the current game. I'm guessing the original idea was big CGI scenes of the empire killing gods.
Having trouble cashing in a side quest called Ace of Carapace to an arms merchant at Lestallum.
I've tried standing in every position near him when hitting the action button, as i know it can be pretty touchy when differentiating between when you want to shop, and when you want to cash in, but I can only ever get him to enter shopping mode. Anyone had the same issue?

Somewhere in chapter 5 and I think I'm fucking done.
Chapter 4 was so stupid. Nothing of what just happened makes sense. I have never played a FF game before so I have no window of reference, but this game's story is terrible. The popup somewhere in chapter 4 that you got a
enemy whistle or whatever
was the most random thing I've ever seen. Well except perhaps the moment where you
run both away and towards a titan holding up a meteor for some reason and you get a call on your mobile phone and you just take it while hellfire is raining down on you
. Where did this come from? Why? The game's story and missions are such a random string of nonsense that I just turned off my PS4 because it was starting to frustrate me.
The whole game is an endless series of fetch quests, and now that I have to run around like an asshole in chapter 5 and
touch 3 archstones which are all a mile away from each other
I'm done for today.
I played for 20+ hours so there are absolutely redeeming qualities to this game, I guess I've played too much of it in a short period of time or something.

This seems somewhat common, it happened to me- I did the quest but absent-mindedly sold the carapace before I turned it in to him. You can go back and fight the bulettes again in the same spot, I had to go back to an older save to see where it was. South of Lestallum is a place called something like "Kelbag Grasslands." Something with a K. (EDIT: Kelbass =P) To the west of that area is a main road running north/south. West of the road are the bulettes. It's a bit little south of where the map says "Kelbag Grasslands." Look for a big radio tower.

What's the best guide for game mechanics? There is so much in this game that I'm not intuiting immediately. For example, I just realized that I can actually fast travel to parking spots! And I just learned I can mix elements in a spell!
So is there a good comprehensive guide to how all this stuff works? I feel like I must be missing a ton here.
I'm OMW into Insomnia in chapter 14, I assume I'm at the point of no return, rest point wise at least. There's a huge beast of a... beast thing blocking my way. Can I bypass this guy and beat the story and come back here to finish that dude off later? Or is this my only chance to kill it?

I'm trying to find Cindy's theme on YouTube, the one that plays when she gives you quests, but all I can find is the generic Hammerhead theme. Anyone know where I can listen to Cindy's theme?
I don't know what it is, but it's definitely no behemoth. It had a name I don't recognize from other FF games. Started with an I, I think. And it was shooting laser beams and shit at me. It's like level 84 and hitting me for 8500ish (though, I may have been in a glass cannon build).

Ok, cool. I *thought* that had optional written all over it, but I didn't wanna take any chances, so I went back to the Open World. But, I wanna get the story done so I can REALLY get all of the side stuff/end game stuff done.
He obviously knew it was Gladio lol, he was just joking around. What pisses me off is that his weird as fuck absence is an awkward ass way to set up his upcoming DLC
Are we really sure about that? Could I get some input from you guys - did they just fuck around with that at Chapter 9 or did Noctis honestly not recognize him? Because they even went out of their way to call the guy "Hunter" instead of "Gladio"...but maybe Final Fantasy just wore me down so much in the last few years that I always expect the worst D:

All of your teammates have [INSERT PAID DLC HERE]. You're the Chosen One.
Summons are Schrodinger's Summons depending on who's talking, Gladio says they're dead, your gameplay says they're alive. Ardyn is a dick. Ignis is somehow walking around completely blind yet insists on following you into a warzone with nothing but a cane. You've given up on collecting all of the Royal Arms, unless they appear in front of you, then you're all for them. You've forgotten about forging a covenant with the remaining two summons.
Takka is still waiting for you to deliver him some beans.

I was in a fight and for some reason most of it was black and I could only recover he white portion. What gives ? Why couldn't I hide/use a potion to fill it 100% also, how do I get out of danger state ?

You basically have two health bars, a white one and a gray one. Once the first health bar (white) is depleted, you go into Danger and can't do anything until you heal. Now you're on your second health bar, the gray one. As that gets depleted, that's when you see black. Potion type items will only heal your first health bar, so you need to use them while you still have some white showing. Once you're on the gray health bar you can only heal with elixir type items. If the gray health bar is completely depleted, you have to use a phoenix down type item.
The damage you take while in danger state degrades your max HP bar. When you go into Danger state, you must try yo heal immediately or else your max HP gets affected until you rest, or use an Elixir.
