Just finished the
Pitioss Dungeon
and I seriously can't remember the last time I was this frustrated from a game.

Who greenlit this? who the fuck designed this? I almost threw my controller, after spending 4 hours jesus christ !
Don't get me wrong, the dungeon looks cool as fuck, and the design is just genius ! but the platforming ugggh.

This is legitimately one of my worst gaming experiences and I love this game to death. I almost feel proud for completing this.

The problem with the dungeon is that the controls are nowhere near tight enough to allow for the level of platforming that is required. My frustration with the dungeon came from always just nudging over an edge because Noctis moves in too large increments, and from not being able to get a good feel for the jumping distance Noctis allows for. I found the levels to be increibly well-designed, but perhaps not for this game's controls. I hope they won't shy away from such platforming levels in future FFs, provided they make the controls much more responsive and immediate.

Also I know some characters got redesigned, e.g. this guy
FFXV_Unknown_Old_Man.png
is now supposedly this guy:
ClMufQiVYAEOKci.jpg

but wtf happened to this guy?

I saw him in like one cutscene and that was it. Which is extra lame because he was in the older trailers. Does anyone know what he was supposed to be? I read something bout him being the head of the Niflheim Magitek Forces' Research or something. They should have been a boss of a military base or something. Or the game should really have gone full Devil May Cry 4
and had the higher ups of Niflheim all be able to transform into demons for second half boss fights, like the Agnus/Credo & higher ups of the Order. They could have even had Rayvus be Credo.
.

Also the story does absolutely nothing of value with the Niflheim Emperor. I mean yes,
They do make him that annoying lvl 35 daemon who you can't kill until its scripted, but all they do there is throw in a few dialogue lines and its weak at best. They should have gone the DMC4 Sanctus route with him as well IMO. What you get is thoroughly unsatisfying and un-cathartic fight with none of the tension you could have had if you confronted him as the Emperor first and let him give his villain speech™ before he transforms and you kill him anyway

As much as I enjoyed parts of this game, the more i think it over, the more soured i am on it. I'm definitely gonna wait for all its additions to be out before I i play it again. In the meantime I think i'm gonna write some thing for how i think the game should have gone instead

This is the only FF where I've ever been over-leveled for the main story to such an extent. I'm level 96 in Chapter 9. And I don't feel like I've spent a moment deliberately grinding?

I know, right? I'm deliberately avoiding any unnecessary fights (i.e. only fighting quest enemies
with the exception of Midgarsomr, I mean, as soon as I saw that thing I was like "wow I want to kill it!"
) and I'm already at level 30 with over 25k experience hoarded on chapter 3, it's insane.

I wish there was an item that allowed you to hoard exp but not level up when you rest. That way I could just do the rest of the main quest on the level I'm currently at and then massively level up for the post-game stuff with the accumulated exp.

Ch. 13 wasn't that bad. Was a bit slow when
you just had the ring, but once you got the sword it was business as usual
. The enemy constantly jumping down at you gave me RE4 vibes (when Leon was in the sewers and that one boss did the same thing). Didn't bother with
the stealth
and just went all in lol.

Yes, I did the dodge mechanic......was not stealthing that shit lol

I'm almost done with the chapter. It's really not that bad, the dialogue and
illusions Ardyn pulls are interesting as fuck. He is definitely my villain of the year no doubt. Dudes character design is fantastic

The summon system in this game is easily the worst. What the hell.
I like the concept a lot. Gods who choose to help when they feel like it. I also like how powerful they are, which makes them actually feel like gods, being able to summon them whenever would be game breaking.

In execution it comes off as uneven as you can't choose which entity you summon, and it's possible you could go the entire game without seeing a particular one.

I will never see titan until a high level hunt and force my characters to go down lol.

Titans requiremts are characters fallen increase chance of summon.

While Ramuh is just time in a battle. That's why Ramuh is so common to see.

It sucks, hoping they DLC an item for post game to choose a summon or force them

Why the save of this game is 700 MB? I want to upload it on the Cloud but with my connection is impossible.

I noticed this earlier too. Mine is like 640MB.

I wonder if you use multiple save slots the pictures get saved in 10 slots. There seems tbeo no way to delete a slot once saved so cant test.

Weird, my car is completely damaged. Cracks in windows, dents everywhere. But when I try to service my car at Hammerhead it says it says it isn't dirty or damaged.

You just made me realize that I've never managed to summon Leviathan. Guess I should YouTube what it looks like.

Quick question about the game. I noticed you get to drive around in a car and ride chocobos, but can you physically fly an airship or is it just a quick travel tool like in XII?

I just fought like 100 imperial soldiers and a bunch of Magitek enemies including a boss fight. I was getting destroyed but no summon prompt.

Later, I was fighting a few level 18 Garulas and fucking Ramuh decides to let me summon him.

What the fuck lol.

You can manually fly the Regalia (the car) once you upgrade it post-game.

Yes, you can manually fly an airship, but always make sure to save before doing so. There are some issues with take off and landing.

So how does the Rare Coin farming work? I get that you save right before you pick it up but then what do you do after? Do you save after getting the coin and reload the game?

I don't believe so, I thought the point is if you pick it up and it isn't a coin, you reload until it is a coin. Move onto the next blue sparkle, save and keep reloading till it's a coin, and so on.

Ok thanks, that makes more sense now.

What happened to Brotherhood Episode 6? I thought it was supposed to come out with the game?

It only took me the whole game but I finally started using Royal Arms. They're really cool but why can't I use air step with them? And weren't they supposed to he draining my HP or was that just in the beginning of the game?

How fitting I played platinum demo and the shield and shuriken were for sure on my weapon wheel slot...who would've thought they'd be the last arms I'd have to find lol

Because they're lame like that. And they do drain your HP, pay better attention lol

I think I'm just gonna go to Altissia and complete the main story. I'm lvl 45 already anyway, so I should be able to beat it. And then I'll just complete the side quests and level up big time in post-game and use the x3 bonus in Altissia after completing the main quests. Or maybe it's better to level up in Chapter 9?

Can someone tell me what the best food for experience buffs is? And where to find that ingredient. I'm nearly 60 and want to buff up before doing some of the harder dungeons/hunts.

If you're already 45, I'd just go ahead and complete the main story and then grind post-game.

Depends on the condition and the location. It is pretty random.

Shuriken is in a dungeon. If I remember it is near the really marshy area in the top left of the map.

I just had to look up the shield location, but it is just out near a road left of the crater I believe. No dungeon.

Finished it yesterday, clocked at 40 hours.

I loved the experience. It deteriorated at some point but the overall package is very good, the best SE did in years.

Can't wait to do all the post game stuff.

I struggled to finish the game after the huge steaming pile of shit known as Chapter 13. I am glad I slogged through because the fights in Chapter 15 were fantastic! I am currently working on post game content and still enjoying this game...

Are the Royal arms suppose to hurt you? I keep taking damage while using them.

Yep. They drain with each attack, some more than others

They'rw difficult to use at first as they drains so much, but later on with more health they become much easier to manage.

There are some very good HP regen accessories you can use to offset the drain.

The final story based RA is a good weapon, has an extremely fun combo and does good damage. It's the only one inactively use often. The rest are equipped for various sta buffs.
