I have an exam on Friday and one on Monday. I've been learning for the exam on Friday for two weeks straight now. But since yesterday I'm supposed to be learning for the exam on Monday, but I am so exhausted that I haven't done anything. I'm so going to regret this on Monday.

First semester starts in february to june and the second semester starts in august to november
Summer vacations are in december/january and winter vacations is july

Nice, whats the paper on? I've been in University for a long ass time and have never stepped foot into a library, despite having to write quite a few geography and math papers. The online resources from my schools library are fantastic.

Finals week for me is May 7th. Fucked up pretty bad this semester and could possibly fail each and every class I took. I've never really "crammed" before, but I know that the next two weeks are going to be the worst of my life up to this point. Never again.

A fellow Pharm student! We're lucky that we do our courses in blocks, so we don't get a giant pile of exams at the end, but courses are covered way too quickly because of it, and we're always busy writing something. Have my last final on Friday then I'm home free.

I need to finishing designing an entire Magazine including cover, back cover and every ad and article. It's 32 pages but my pen drive disappear and the last time I synch it with my computer I was in page 14. So basically I'm half way again.

I need also to design a booth/kiosk for a supermarket, do an illustration and a 12 pages investigation.

Those are the priority, I'll deal with the other projects later if I do at all.

I just finished one class last week, will finish another one tomorrow, another on Friday, and then my last two during finals week.

The sense of elation from watching classes go down one by one and 'A's' getting filled in under "Final Grade" is worth the stress and sleepless nights. Being able to cross off a semester's worth of courses on your degree checksheet..

It's like watching bars fill up in Call of Duty, except it's not a total waste of time!

I used addy to write scholarship essays. Had great results. I haven't used it for finals or anything like that in years, though, because I really haven't needed it. This semester's end will not be an exception.

Both. And I have plenty of anecdotal evidence to say cramming is very effective. You just have to do it right. I mean it's probably not as effective as regular, daily dedication, but I don't always have that in me.

Oh, it's effective. Just not too good for any long term recall. But studying the day before the test and getting a good nights sleep is even better, sleeping is when your brain reorganizes info and stores it properly.

My friend is a crammer. Did all of his work yesterday for an exam today that I was working 1 month+ for. And he'll probably get an equivalent/higher grade. It really irritates me, but I just couldn't do it. Nothing I revise on the day before an exam goes in at all.

the class has a policy that if your average is above a 92 when you use your exam average for the final you don't have to take the final and get an A.

Uggh, Got a final in Philosophy next Tuesday, a final in Music Appreciation that's an hour long listening final (wtf), and a final in Calculus with Analytical Geometry. Yay.

that's some variety you've got there.. what kind of degree are you getting?

I never pulled an all nighter in undegrad. I probably would have failed my exams if that was necessary. Study early and often fools.

Listen to this man. Anybody telling you to pull an all nighter studying for an exam has either never studied anything actually difficult or had it all forgotten by the next day.

Baroque wasn't too bad and Classical seems ok. However, those damn Gregorian chants man. I still have nightmares.

I took several music history classes as part of a minor in musicology, and getting to the point where I could actually appreciate Gregorian chants (hell, almost anything based on liturgy up to Josquin des Prez) was definitely up there with the biggest challenges in undergrad (majored in math and even took some advanced physics courses, so you're definitely not alone in finding it difficult..)

Try 80% as the norm, 100% for some classes
Nothing's more fun than realizing, two hours into an exam with another two to go, that studying for the past six months may have been in vain

40-50 is the norm here for final exams. I do hate when the exam is that much, puts major stress on that day.
