Now it is Sophia's time to shine.
I think +spd is better than +att since he gets doubled less, making him able to tank more stuff.
As a reference, 4872 was ranked 3356 out of 3435 for staying yesterday minutes before the season ended, so it's safe to assume the cut off last week is 4870 or 4872.

Gave my +Res/-Def chicken Lightning Breath and Iceberg. Now I have three units that can bait Reinhardt.
Ugh had a perfect Arena Assault run ruined by a troll defense team. Cordelia, Azura, and Olivia. There was nowhere I could hide a unit to stay away from a double danced Cordelia. Sure enough she gets double danced and kills my Nowi. Probably should have just thrown Titania in there or used an item, oh well.

Do you ever just think to yourself: Why tf do I put myself through Arena misery day after day?
Maybe I'm just having a bad day but I'm losing the will to give a damn about not only maintaining my Arena tier but just doing it daily... I'm sitting on over 100+ dueling crests and I just can't muster the energy to give a fuck anymore.
I know that Arena basically rewards whales (especially Advanced) but it's just such a grind.

I don't think it, I just complete the daily missions concerning arena and fuck off of the arena so I can spend the least amount of time on the game.

I'm probably going to start doing that. I do Arena Assault but it's basically bait with one of my teams and then just complete for the sake of completing for the daily.
I'd love it if Arena got an overhaul but meh, never going to happen anytime soon.
I usually do a single full arena and arena assault run every week, and as long as I'm staying above tier 16 or so, I don't mind what score I get. The measly extra orb of whatever for staying in the top tier isn't worth the extra time required for perfect runs. Other than that I do the daily two arena matches and three arena assault matches on the easiest settings just to get the rewards.
Not necessarily, it's not like I even see Reinhardt in every arena assault match now. I'm seeing a lot of distant counter Titania, dancers and green mages to counter him though, I think Lyn counters (vantage Robin etc?) will be just as common. It's nowhere near as bad as it was at the start when I couldn't move in arena without wading through Takumis.
If you're interested in more than one of the CYL units, then wait. Otherwise, just pull now and pick the one you want tomorrow.

I got my perfect streak for Arena done, and I'm just trying my best Assault streak. I'm having a lot of trouble countering these buffed Blade Tome Cecilias. Sanaki is the only one who really tank them. It's aggravating, and it's one reason that I should maybe reconsider my Brave Lucina pick.
Up to 164 Orbs now. This is the most I've ever had. I earned a few extra Orbs from Lunatic Chain Challenges, and I only have to complete the following:
Chapters 9 & 10
Chapters 11 & 12
Paralogue 10
Paralogues 9 & 10
That's 18 Orbs that I have yet to attain, but I'll leave those for later.
EDIT: I didn't do proper math. The remaining challenges adds up to 14 instead of 18.

What could I do with a +ATK/-DEF Fae?
I want to build her because I love the character, but I could either go for a budget build in order to make her at least usable or go all in and make a dumb but undeniably awesome dragon-team (I've got all the manakete released thus far, and I'd love to put Fortify Dragon to use...)
The DEF bane stinks a bit but I don't think it impacts her usability as much as other banes.... I hope.
I'm also ready to spend an impressive (for a F2P) amount of resources (....but I've got no ploys available) on the build so shoot away.

That's a good stat spread. Her standard anti-Reinhardt build is Lightning Breath, Triangle Adept, and QR.
Thanks to the new special maps I managed to scrounge 10 orbs which I put in the Nohrian Summer banner that I spent 88 Euros on last week (and I didn't get anything worthwhile). Now on the last day with my last 10 orbs I got Summer Corrin (-Spd +Def though, but I expect the ability to reroll IVs at some point) and Lon Qu (Vantage 3!!). Now I don't feel so bad about the 159 orbs I wasted last week anymore.
The struggle between choosing Ike and Lyn is real. I don't have normal Ike and he's my favorite character in the whole series so this would be a guaranteed way to get him, but on the other hand I don't want to dig through colorless hell for Lyn, considering she is my favorite female character. I do have normal Lyn though... ugh, this is hard.
I will definitely choose Lyn so I can finally retire my Takumi, but I can see how Ike's appealing if he's your favorite character in the series. I suspect you will find Ike featured on banners more often than Lyn though.

really obnoxious that the one arena cycle that I have no 5* bonus is the one that runs for 3 weeks. While Subaki has actually been very useful, I don't know if I can hit 4800 with a 4*. Especially since arena is going to turn into an absolute shitfest of Lyn spam by the weekend.

Nowi is +SPD with Fury 3, with Hone Speed she is equal speed to a neutral speed CYL Lyn (would have to worry about a +SPD one with swift sparrow, but she'd probably survive that too). She isn't as good of a counter for Lyn specifically, but she's worth more points than Robin and is a lot more versatile. She fits into any team really.
Not in a rush to do anything yet...I think for the weeks that Lyn is a bonus unit I'll probably just use my own.

Triangle Adept and G Tomebreaker; she's one of the best Reinhardt counters in the game along with tanking green mages rather well.
Dragon Emblem is already a real composition with Delthea. I'd recommend Fae, Delthea, Nowi and a Triangle Adept Young Tiki.

Dragon Emblem works really well on enemy phase so Ninian is not needed to refresh units.
Yeah if I find a good Fae while looking for Ike/Hector this month she's a frontrunner for my 40k feathers. I keep running out of greens while doing AA and she's one of the most economical options I have. I have one at 4* but her stats are nothing special.
I've actually got a Delthea but she is a depressing -SPD. Still, my Nowi with +9 attack sure would be something.

Actually yes you can use Ninian if you are fine with the score drop.

Uhh no unless you're talking about skill inheritance which is just feeding units to other units for their skills.
I have a Fae that I promoted and gave Lightning Breath+ to, and she's working pretty well for me so far. I put Fury 2 (I have a Hinata shortage) and QR2 on her, which is similar to how I built my Nowi.
I'm thinking about using A.Tiki as my bow counter. With Ninian buffing her + the Def 3 skill + def boon, she has 48 defense. That's enough to be an all-purpose physical wall, kind of like a red Lukas with distant counter. I plan to slap Spur Def on a teammate just for more defensive silliness. Plus I'm always looking for an excuse to use her because I just like the character.

No, but cavalry units are super popular in this game these days because they are so strong and so accessible.
My faes are:

I want a better fae before I run this but definitely something in my plans

Don't even try tanking physical hits with her.
She kind of needs the Atk boon to finish mages off since she unfortunately hits Res.
I use her to tank popular blues like Camus and Azura all the time.

I have a +Res/-def and she's been great. Yours isn't a bad nature though. Especially if you go TA.
I went Lightning breath+, Reciprocal Aid, Iceberg, Fury 3, Renewal 3, and Fortify Dragons because I had an extra Ninian from sniping blues for so long. Renewal is such a good skill that I just left it and combined with RA she can tank multiple mages if the challenge appears, and have Iceberg ready for that second encounter.
I didn't think about Delthea even though I've got two of them... That's a really good idea, I'll play with that. Thank you!
Oh yeah, Renewal is definitely legit on its own too. QR lets you counter kill more often, but Renewal is good too, especially if you run a lot of units with Fury.
I guess you can do that with TA but Fury and being -Def she dies to a buffed Camus so I wouldn't rely on that - it's not her primary role. Tanking Sapphire Lance Azura isn't very impressive and Camus isn't as common as Reinhardt either way.
I wouldn't recommend Renewal for arena unless it's for points, but it's very useful for CCs/Tempest Trials.
Yes, Azura isn't a strong lance but when you say "don't even try tanking anything physical with Fae", you're making her sound like she's made of glass, which she clearly isn't.
You got me there, my statement was too extreme particularly assuming TA. I was more referring to trying to tank archers with her.
What do you guys think of the possible Support system that was datamined?
If there's a stat boost associated with supports I imagine it'll be disabled on Arena or something, at least on defense. It'd be quite painful if besides stats and skills you had to look for supports on enemy units...

Has it been confirmed if the free hero select is neutral IV or random IV yet? I hope to god it's just netural, because I know if I have the chance, I'm going to end up with -ATK or -SPD Lyn.
My Horse emblem team is taking forever to build, and I'm a little confused.
Do I want Goad/Ward, Goad/Hone, Hone/Fortify, or one of each for my C slots? It seems like Goad/Ward would be the best bang for the buck since it's 2 spaces, but the buffs are better from Hone/Fortify. Then again, when I hear people talking about it, nobody ever mentions the defense buffs.

Archers were what I was thinking of so yeah. AA is going to become a pain in the ass with CYL Lyn and Reinhardt on every team, so a relatively attainable response to both would be nice. 40k+ feathers into a specialized character I wouldn't use outside of AA is still a tough pill to swallow either way.
On the subject of 40k feather sinks I keep finding Cherches that are close but 'not quite' what I want. +ATK -HP, +ATK -DEF...
