If I understand correctly, that's an overkill. Heavy Blade makes your special CD go down by 2 instead of 1 when attacking. Moonbow + Killer weapon has a CD of 1 so it will be overkilled in this case.

Also, if this "World of Radiance" phrasing does mean that there will be new "main story" missions rather than paralogues, the Black Knight's got to be in it, right? Otherwise how can they introduce just 4 new characters but spawn 5 missions? Black Knight GHB when? With my shitty luck and my need to reserve orbs for Celica, I probably can't have Ragnell so can I at least have Alondite?
Black Knight is probably going to have higher Atk than Ike anyway so maybe he's more suitable for my green mage killing needs. Seriously, I would pretty much love to have "World of Dawn" some time in the future as well but please don't make me wait until then to get the BK GHB.

I got about 100 orbs saved, I was hoping for a distant counter red unit but I wasn't expecting Ike, lol.
Still, keeping my hopes in check. I think I know more than anyone that even 300 orbs doesn't guarantee you jack shit in this game. I need more Hinatas, Lon'qus, Roys, and Selenas for inheritance fodder so I've been waiting a long time for an excuse to pull reds.
We don't know Ike's stats yet, but I'd imagine his atk stat is decent, that skill would make no sense otherwise. If I get one that isn't garbage IVs I'd probably switch Linde to spur atk and give Ike fortify defense or res. I'm already running an attack buffer with Sharena. He'd fit into my team quite nicely. He also seems easy to get up and running because his default kit is great.
Heavy Blade is obviously gonna be melee only because if I could put that on my -blade tome Linde I'd break the game in half. But it's interesting that it's A slot, getting a higher attack stat when everyone else is running Fury could be harder than it seems.
edit: maybe when they mentioned the reinforcement/defense maps they meant these new story missions. I'd imagine the Lunatic ones could be pretty tough.

Not at the price they charge for orbs lol.
I'd pay maybe 10p/orb so that a summon is no more than 50p, but that's not how mobile games work make the money, so I'm just back to not giving them.monye (beyond maybe Google surveys app money).
It's not the expression, it's the facial proportions. Compare it to similar art of young Ike, and the nose, chin and general face shape look totally off. It's not on the level of the characters who were really shortchanged by their new art (Cordelia, Oboro, Chrom etc.), but it is noticeable.
And despite that, the attack art looks fine. Maybe the artist has issues with drawing faces that aren't at an angle - their Cain had a similar disparity between neutral and attack portraits.
Now that you mention it...aside from wanting a portrait of Ike drawn by Senri Kita, AKIRA would have been a great choice. Maybe for his Radiant Dawn portrait?

So many people hoarding for Ike...I wonder if super merged Ikes will become common in arena. I'd love that, since I'll be one shotting them.

On the other...on two seperate occasions (robin and ninian) I hit 5.5% and 6.00% appearance rate, only sniping blue orbs. When I stopped doing that and just did 5 pulls, I found Hawkeye and Hector immediately. Hector was the 5th orb in a 5 pull, even. This game is making me superstitious.

Well, they're coming with a story chapter and presumably some quests. So if you clear all that, it could be around another 20 based on what we've seen before.
Quite evil of them to put out that Nowi/Reinhardt banner just before, though. I guess we should watch for the next really good banner as a hint for when they drop the swimsuit bomb.
The 10-15 orbs that will probably come with the Ike side chapter missions will be nice.
I also can't decide if running both FRobin and MRobin on the same team will be dumb or amusing.
Basically I just need a good green because beefing up my blue vs blue matchup is really reaching its limits. Maybe I'll get lucky and get Titania in the next banner.
I don't have Julia, or else I'd totally go for her. I might go with Cecilia, though I already have MRobin for a Raven tome. I do have TA2 to give, so maybe FRobin will still be okay for that purpose. I agree that she's pretty weak though. She's like MRobin in that she seems tanky, but lacks punch.

Lowish speed is kinda OK for him though; what he really need to excel in is attack.
He has sword breaker so those faster red swords are generally not a problem for him; he should run away from blue mages no matter what speed he has; and with innate distant counter he's going to oneshot Nino so it doesn't matter if he gets doubled by her or not, while Julia and Bunmilla in most normal cases shouldn't out speed him by 5. The only potential problem is not being able to double and kill Hector in one round, which is generally ok as well because that normally happens when everyone else is dead and you can take your sweet time.

Ike comes with Sword breaker as a preset skill. He is going to have low to middling speed. Hopefully he is in the 27-33 range and not 21-27 range. He'll probably be in between at 24-30.

I still have about 10 orbs left to get in Lunatic (not ch9 either. That is done), plus all of the recent quest ones. Add those to the 12, I have saved, and 15 from the new chapter, and I should be able to scrape together at least 3 pulls during the next 2 week cycle. Maybe more depending on upcoming quests, and the May monthly refresh.
I think it would make sense for Ike to be relatively slow. He uses a big ass sword after all. Being slow but powerful is his thing. It was his playstyle in Smash, and it'll probably be the case here.

If he has enough Res I wonder if Quick Riposte would be good for him. Would also help Aether trigger faster if that is a skill people keep.
Eh, he was actually fast and really overpowered in his games. He's supposed to be the uber unit. Give me my fast and powerful Ike.

Someone on Reddit that usually data mined the game said recently IS started encrypting unreleased data that they can decrypt when ever they are ready to publicly release it.

I think that would be a good choice for him if you don't intend to fight many red swords. . Even with 20ish res, the type advantage would still let him bait and counter greens reasonably well. It would also let him use Aether right away, if I understand that skill right.
Say he baits a green mage and survives:
- takes a hit
- normal counterattack
- takes a second hit (assuming he has relatively low speed)
- QR counterattack
That's four hits, and with Heavy Blade that means Aether is charged right away, right? Unless I'm missing something and he actually uses Aether on the QR counterattack.

I think it would be charged for the next encounter, which would be ok, because he should have killed the green mage without the need of the special.

Ideally he wouldn't need to take two hits because Nino and Julia are pretty squishy and the first normal counter would kill them. Bunnilla is another story.
Personal feelings about the characters aside, I would be pretty happy if any of these are as good as Nowi or Reinhardt. We'll see what the stats say but I'd be surprised.
True, both Nino and Julia should die on the first counterhit unless they're heavily merged or something. Still, having a viable way to charge Aether is huge. It would probably let Ike charge on someone else, then simply delete someone with Aether, regardless of type.
