I feel the 3 atk from +atk is neglectable when you can just buff her to +30. Whereas the 3 speed from +spd can be clutch in some rare matchups.
edit: just checked and Cecilia gains 4 speed from a boon

Will try the SPD one, thanks! Now with the headache of figuring out who gets Hone Cavalry, Ward Cavalry and Fortify Cavalry. Well, 2 will get Hone Cavalry because I don't have Reinhardt for Goad and I have a trillion Gunter.
Hone doesn't stack.

It was just so everyone get the +6ATK/SPD from it, including the "initial" carrier. Not sure what C skills I could use on one of the cavalry that would make it better than having everyone being able to profit from Hone Cavalry.

At this exact moment in my life I have 5% appearance rate on my 5*s.
I'd pick Frederick of those, I think. He's decent enough. Might want to get him something other than a hammer, though. Abel is also an option.
Cecilia doesn't really need skills, but Death Blow is always fun. Crank up those damage numbers! Fury might work, too. Same reason, but also more speed! Until then, her native Attack+ is not bad either. Not amazing, but it helps her do her thing, also on Enemy Phase. I've given mine Draconic Aura for a special. Sure, with Gronnblade, it's a 4 charge, and unlike Nino, she won't double as much to charge it fast. But when it's charged, and she's sitting on a Hone/Fortify Cavalry combo... there are very few units in the game that will be standing afterwards.
As for C skill. Waiting for Camus or a 4*Reinhardt to give her Goad Cavalry. Goad stacks with Goad, so running two of those will crank the damage even higher!
Ended up spending a few flags and landed at Rank 45,000 on Team Robin. About 55,000 points. Was going to skip this round and wait for the x3, but figured I may as well take the cheap 1,600 feathers for this round. Can still put up a final score of 1.3 million-ish if we get the x3 consistently. We'll see.

Was about to 5* my 4* Xander but I am so tired of grinding SP that it might be less of a pain to level my 3* to 40 twice... 2k feathers, though.
I have 2 Brave Axe+ sleeping and a +ATK Frederick. However, feel like he would get replaced one day so it might not be the best idea.

Umm, fought a Nino today that managed to do that vs my Ike that was on a defensive tile while she was not.

Everyone can be replaced, there's always the potential for something new for any role in a team. There's no guarantee you'll get them though.
I just put a Brave Axe+ on my Frederick two weeks ago and now I'm getting the best Arena scores I've ever gotten, and he's been a huge part of that.
You OHKO/2HKO the unit that doesn't need Savage Blow first (basically every infantry and slow cavalry), dance and OHKO the unit that got chip damage from Savage Blow. Obviously, you pair Kagero with a dancer with Hone Attack as the +4 Atk puts more units into OHKO range. I mean, when people mention bladed mages, they automatically assume they're fully buffed by Eirika at the start of each turn, with Desperation and dancer online, ready to slaughter the entire team solo. Having Kagero buffed by only a dancer doesn't seem that outrageous in comparison.

I don't have any bonus units sufficiently leveled up, so I won't actually be able to seriously compete until a few days later.
The closest I have is 3* Alphonse at level 25. I'll just level up 4* Xander, and do the Arena to win Voting Gauntlet flags right now.
It's a pretty sad thing to admit, but I haven't had an all 5* Arena team since the Blazing Shadows banner. I'm going to promote Sharena so that I can at least get to 4800 points during some seasons. She's a strong unit, so the feathers will definitely be worth it.

I have no interest in training Alfonse, Sharena, or Anna seriously, so I was really hoping this latest Story chapter would give us Bruno as a unit.
I'm happy Roy is a bonus char because both of my accounts have him at 5*,holding off sacrificing him for TA3 has paid off, good thing he gets TA3 at 4* so you feel that it would be really wasteful if you sacrifice a 5* but what's more intriguing is that he seems to be the first to return as a bonus char (after the very first season) if I'm not wrong.
There are still tons of units that haven't become arena bonus chars yet but at the same time someone is already becoming one for the second time. You've got to wonder what's in IS's mind; are those two slots really random?
The arena bonus char composition has always been (besides the very first season when we have 2 prevailing mainline banners, and a few season before the OG lord rotation became a thing):
4 or 6 newly introduced banner character + 2 "random" existing non-daily HB characters + 1 GHB character + 1 FE:H original character + 0 or 2 daily HB characters. When the new mainline banner has 6 characters, they take up the 2 slots that are normally meant for daily HB characters, e.g. the blazing blade banner season bonus char set consists of the 6 banner characters (Ninian, Karel, Priscilla, Jaffar, Rebecca, Lucius), 2 non-daily HB characters (Azama, Fir), 1 GHB character (Ursula), and 1 FE:H original character (Anna). No daily HB characters in this case.
The 2 non-daily HB slots have always been a thing, but Roy among all these potential characters in a big pool getting a slot this time is still pretty weird.

I'll just have to tough it out. I got 5k Feathers with 4* Zephiel, so I can still make it work. I'll have 5* Sharena ready in the next few weeks. She's currently level 40 at 4* rarity, so I might as well build her up with the excess SP that I gained.

She's a pretty good unit. Here's mine that I literally trained up today for arena.
I am using her on a flier team, but she should be able to operate just fine elsewhere.

Still getting matched up with 682s with the Hero Fest trio plus 5 star Xander. I was getting the same thing lugging 4 star Anna around. All of them are more or less done inheritance wise except for Xander who needs an A slot

Stockpiled 3225 flags and I'm going to use every single one of them against Tharja. Hopefully in a 3x period.
Ran into an armor emblem team in the arena, all of which had distant counter and vantage. I hate the arena but still need to keep rolling the dice as to whether my chain is going to get screwed by a specialist setup that takes advantage of things I can't counter.

There are less than 2000 players in Tier 17, and my only viable bonus unit is a 4* Xander, not even Lv. 40 yet.
I already got my deathless run, but I'm not sure my point total is gonna be high enough to promote again.

You'll do very well in the final, but you won't be near the top for cumulative. I used 2400 Flags on 3x periods during Round 2. Since you still probably have at least 1000 more to collect, you definitely won't be able to maximize your overall score.
I also found out that I had a 4* Shanna that I leveled for a flier quest, so I'll just use her to save time. Shanna is actually very solid, but I unfortunately leveled up a -ATK nature. The +SPD is very positive, though. All I want to do is get a perfect streak regardless.

I think the tiers only calculate the amount of players in it after their first battle as it's over 2,000 now.
Are you in Tier 17 too? That should be the highest anyone can be right now.
Yeah, I was saying Tier 18 will be my ceiling if I reach it.

I kinda feel like you'd probably want to have at least one mage or dragon in there, to break through all these Xander's ridiculous defenses.
Two points less than my last season. I need to do better.
And the difference is that I am now fighting more level 50 characters often, at least two were in a team and I even fought a guy with level 50 Quadsuna, level 50 Azura, level 46? Bunny Camilla with Gronnblade and level 41 Xander.

You guys aren't considering the upward movement of tiers over time, the first iteration of tier 18 will be super competitive but give it few weeks and it won't be.

Mind me asking the team you're running? I'm imagining there are a few +3 or more but I'm trying to figure out why the heck I can't get anything over 690
Level 40 5* Roy. (Current bonus hero.)
Level 40+5 5* with 168 BST.
Level 40+4 5* with 155 BST.
Level 40+4 5* with 165 BST.
Honestly, I've stockpiled them mainly because I dislike Tharja rather than for any competitive reasons. I've reached the point where I've got most of the units I really like at 5* with good builds so feathers don't have a huge amount of value to me currently. I'm sure they will as future units get introduced and I fail to pull them when they're at 5* on their respective banners, but I dropped 20k on upgrading Adult Tiki earlier just to give an idea of their current value to me. It was that, or upgrade one of my 4* copies for a simple +1 which didn't feel particularly worth the investment either.

Interesting. My team averages at 158 whereas yours looks to be around 162 at most. I don't get it
Game finally paid out on the Mage banner (yay) and it was a +HP/-Spd Tharja (fuck). Pretty jaded at this point so I'm not even that mad. I'll just give her tome to my -Atk Leo.
Merged units add to the score, it's what they changed to the arena rules. Otherwise You'd have level 40 teams running into level 50 teams all the time like the arena rules back then because it was just based on having the highest rating which covered BST, weapon attack, and skills like Fury.
