So here it is:

70kg warm-up set: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZT5vW7iplK8
115kg workset: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAjgfnOpCkU

Sorry I know it's not the perfect camera angle but that was the only spot I could stand my phone on.

Well, those look good except your low back looks a little soft on some reps and you need to stop bending your knees before the bar passes them on the way down. You'll notice that the bar curves around your knees on the way down. Don't do that.

Fat is fine as long as you're under maintenance. At least that's my understanding If you go over your fat macro and are under maintenance it will be burned, if you go over maintenance and you're gonna store it.

I might be "off" on that, this cutting thing is new to me.

The routine I'm doing now is heavy volume. How long have you been lifting?

1 1/2 years.

As of this morning I'm down 61 lbs. I also haven't lost any strength and in fact my lifts have all gone up while I've lost this weight. Like my 1rm on bench press has added 25 lbs over the last 7 months while I lost the weight. And if my last 5/3/1 cycle was successful then it's actually added 30 lbs. Feels good!

Managed to fall asleep without meaning to last night on a day I lifted having only eaten 1200 calories. Got my 180 grams of protein in by then, but still. Sucks.

Quoting for new page.

You seem to be jerking the weight off the floor rather than driving through the floor with your feet. Keep the bar in tighter to your skin (roll it back into your shins with your lats). You are not pulling vertically. Can you post another video with a higher angle? This angle is too low. Also, don't breath at the top. Breath when you set the weight down. Air is support.

Yeah I know, I just woke up shocked I wasn't hungrier. I guess eating super clean meant my body was feeling nourished regardless.

Nah, it happens to me on this cut. I go to sleep hungry but wake up fine. I usually don't eat for a few hours even after I wake up. I usually stop eating around 7-8 and don't eat again until 9:30-10 the next morning and don't feel hungry. Not sure what it is.

Fitness-GAF, I am doing my 5k tomorrow and I want to try to do the best I can as far as time goes. Are there any suggestions on what to eat for breakfast before the race and how should I pace myself? Jog as far and fast as I can and rest when I need to before jogging more?

What. How. I've never had sore abs from DL's even though i hold my breath and tighten them when doing the lift.

Probably more from chins, but your abs can get sore from DLs, it's mostly down low by your hips and it happens to me sometimes when I do high reps.

I had the cheat day of all cheat days yesterday. I basically ate anything I could get my hands on. Footlong sub, DQ Blizzard, snickers ice cream bars, two Red Bulls, bowl of frosted flakes...just to name a few. Back on my usual routine today with zero desire for crap. Mission accomplished!

Sounds good, I can't wait till I get a cheat day again, in 4ish weeks.

I'm waiting until I drop 10 lbs and then I'm having a cheat day where I make my special rice crispies squares recipe (with dulce de leche instead of marshmellows) and I'm eating the whole damn thing. I can't wait!

So my new goal is to do a varation of the 3x5/5x5 for the next 6 weeks or so before jumping into 5/3/1 until the end of the year. I just want to get big and strong. Fuck the abs. Broad shoulders, traps, and a huge chest is my goal.

Unless you're in doing BB shows or a fitness model, abs seem pointless to me. Glad to have you back on beastmode.

Then you don't squat/deadlift a lot.

Abs are important.

I'm taking about visible washboard abs, which is what Falling Edge seems to be talking about based on his previous posts.

I'm not talking about abs in terms of strength and function.

Edit: Saw your edited post. No worries.

I'm a Gregg Plitt subscriber and he makes a breakfast called Power Pancakes. (ideal for your race). Would you like me to jot down notes from it? My bro ate them before the tough mudder race and said they were perfect.

Much obliged.

What's recommended with LTE, a bar or dumbells?

EZ Curl bar works perfectly from what I've heard (from Rippetoe).

Just remember to do it full ROM like shown here:

http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Triceps/BBLyingTriExt.html

Should be better than stopping the weight at your forehead (skullcrushers) since it uses more muscle mass.

Never done these myself though but probably going to start doing them at some point :)

Broke my PR on bench last night. Now I can one rep 285. Feeling like a champ.

That's great man, you're not too far behind me. I was doing 1 rep of that weight about a month ago. Now I can do 5-6 reps at 295lbs, and I just recently one repped 315.
