I cant even get a single chin or pull up. Life no longer has meaning. Im going to go drown down protein now.

I was the same not long ago. Started with lat pull downs and machine assisted pull ups. Usually 3x5 or 6 reps and always increasing the weight. Also losing weight helped a lot. Keep at it and you will get it eventually.

Yeah this is going to sound stupid but ive been avoiding negative pull ups as I find it a little embarrassing climbing up... will go with the assisted and pull downs.

Strength is holding as I enter the low 190s.

Monday got 190x3x3 OHP and today got 315x4 on bench and 130x5 on DB incline.

Being able to OHP your body weight is impressive (well all your lifts are impressive actually). I'm about 172 pounds right now and can do a 1 rep max of 140 OHP on a good day. Hopefully I can increase my OHP and continue dropping weight.

Finding it hard to follow my diet but I have a deadline of 8 weeks to lose 10 lbs. Today I went to the gym and PR'd on the Squat with great form and celebrated by eating 2 slices of Costco Pizza. Got to keep my eye on the prize. Cooter you are providing some good inspiration.
Thanks Tater. I remember working on your routine with you years ago. It had to be OT3 or OT4. Really happy you're still at it. Your progress has been fantastic.

Man, bench proves to be such a bitch for me, particularly doing a complete ROM press. For whatever reason that last inch between touching my chest and hovering just above it is incredibly difficult for me. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking of just saying screw it and doing bench at not the full ROM so I can continue pressing in some fashion. Yes, I am eating and sleeping enough doing a 3x5. (I'm 5'8'' 175lb)

EDIT: A few months ago my girlfriend's dad thought it was funny that I lifted, because I don't really look like it. I saw him again last weekend and both of her parents told her that I had definitely gained weight, in a good way. So that's cool.

That looks like it's in the same vein as rum cake. Looks great.

Brazilian food is some of my favorite. If you can get her to cook that stuff all the time, I'm jealous. Though it's probably a struggle staying in shape haha.

Just did leg day, on my birthday. I hate leg day, and now I hate my birthday. :(

Nearly threw up again at the end of it. Still, the reason I worked out is so I can go full calorie / carb madness afterwards, and my missus is making me delicious cakes, so all good.

TRY STOPPING ME PUTTING ON WEIGHT NOW, YOU STUPID METABOLISM.

I don't know what it's called, but we know several Brazilian families and when I had food there I was so happy. One time they made our family a huge aluminum pan full of what I call Brazilian rice and chicken. I'm sure there's a term for it, but it's a shit ton of rice, shredded chicken, cheese, raisins, garlic, salt, some green olives, and some other vegetables. The cheese, garlic, rice and chicken is a great combination and I can slam multiple plates of it.

Also, how they season their steaks is great. Basically, a ton of garlic and salt in everything they make.

Happy birthday psycho!

I really didn't want to go to the gym today. Felt like I was going to waste my time after reading everyone talking about deloads lol, but I went anyway and had an amazing workout and felt effing terrific after.

Done working out for the week. Easter Sunday is all you can eat lobster tails, king crab legs, rack of lamb and butter. Then it's the strictest cut till I get dat flat stomach. No more stops along the way.

NIce. I assume this just targets less muscles than a deadlift? Or does it hit some muscles that deadlifts don't - never done this before.

Works more strongman centric stuff. A lot of pulls are from a higher position. Also, for regular deadlift it allows you to overload the lockout and work lockout. That's where I'm weakest.

Plus I guess it wouldn't fry your nervous system as much! I get recovery issues if I do lots of heavy full deadlifts, but find that doing partials isn't as bad.

Was tracking my calories on myfitnesspal and I finally realized how I got fat. well I knew before but now in numbers! So yeah, I was like I don;t eat much! Small breakfast (oats etc), then I decided to eat some chips and chocolate, later went on to gym and drank whey, later went out few beers, mcdonalds after all that and it all summed up to around 3500 calories. f m l lol
Fuck it, happened once but realized how easy it is and how before I used to do that every other day, fuck man, good thing I never got too fat :| screwed up a bit today too because I went to movies and had some nachos but still close to maintenance calories so it's ok but not good. Back to usual tomorrow, gonna drop my deficit a bit to hopefully offset these 2 days a bit.

Either way, it's the first time I've been able to raise myself up unassisted. I can only do it with the right leg for now. Left, I still fall flat on my rear. Any form/technique/practice tips?

Yeah, that's not bad at all. I tend to go with a bit straighter leg, but that took a while to do as it puts a lot of strain on your quad. All in all, solid as a rock, you make it look easy.

As for the other leg, your best bet is having something next to you so you can support yourself on the way down, that, or holding on to something in front of you. Some good advice here: http://www.startbodyweight.com/p/squat-progression.html

I'm trying to do shrimp squats now, but it's taking some time as I'm only doing bodyweight once every 10 days.

Unrelated, my birthday cake was 815kcal a slice. No problem hitting my targets today. lol
