that was way more entertaining than I thought it would be

respect to conor man. anyone that puts him down because of this performance is an idiot. thats fuckin floyd mayweather he was up against and he made it fun.

I feel like I'm living in some alternate timeline RN where the professional and lifelong highly trained technical master boxer didn't just have his way with a literal amateur for 3 rounds before beating his face in.

we're all used to having a few drinks for mayweather fights. bad habit.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
I'll reiterate if people want to see a more traditionally exciting boxing match they should tune in for the Canelo vs GGG in a few weeks. There are have been a lot of great fights this year but that one especially should satisfy people looking for much more of a visceral boxing match between two legit hungry pro's.

Did we watch the same fight? Because he tagged conor. Remember every hit on conor, is insured by all of the bullshit he talked.

It's like quad damage.

He didn't last 10 rounds.

Floyd decided to end it in 10 rounds.

Well, Trump is also President, so yes, this is an alternate timeline.

Oh wow. ESPN just released some behind the scenes footage of Mayweather preparing for this fight:

A boxing novice talked his way into a $100m fight against one of the best boxers of all time, left smiling and you think he's taking an L on this?

Are we just gonna ignore all his talk about finishing this fight under four rounds and rip off Floyd's head and all this other shit?

Some of you are desperate for him to have his cake and eat it too. Mystic Mac! He says what he will do and then does it! But it's cool when he doesn't.

Fight out of the high guard stance and let him tire out hitting gloves and elbows. Pretty smart gameplan and something none of us expected. Winky Wright and Joshua Clottey would be proud. Broner tried to use that stance against Mikey Garcia but he doesn't know what he's doing and poorly imitates Mayweather's fighting style including the shoulder roll.

I think you got worked brother.

Yeah, winning the early rounds clearly wasn't the goal for Mayweather. He pretty much did nothing, threw barely anything. Didn't seem phased by Conor's shots either. The goal was to study, figure, download and ultimately tire him out. He wanted to stop him.

If he was going for rounds we would of seen his more traditional defensive counter-play style in full force with a lot more movement, and he almost certainly would of won those early rounds. He saved his energy, lost the rounds so he could unload in the later rounds.

Did they schedule the rematch pre-fight or is that too carny?

The only way any rematch works is if the match going 10 rounds somehow convinced enough people that Conor could actually beat Mayweather with more training. For some i'm sure it did, but if you follow boxing then it was pretty clear that Mayweather was toying with his food.

They were selling the fight. Both clearly respect each other.

Per ESPN
Las Vegas sportsbooks won big off Floyd Mayweather's win over Conor McGregor. Sportsbook operator CG Technology said Mayweather's TKO produced a "high six-figure" profit. The fight was the most heavily bet ever for William Hill's Nevada sportsbook, attracting more than double the handle that was bet on the 2015 Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao bout.

Also at all the people saying Floyd was gonna throw the fight and lose intentionally.
