mexico vs usa gold cup

can chica win it for mexico?

If we are gonna win this it will be through the creativity of Dos Santos and Guardado.

But yeah, I'm hoping for at least one goal for Chicharito.

I feel sad :'(

But the guys played very well. I can't wait for the start of the season. Some games will be high-profile, no doubt about it :)

He's the leading goalscorer in the tournament with seven goals. It's just that I don't see him winning too many chances against the US bunkering down and playing the counter.

He's still with Tottenham, but he had a great second half of season with Racing de Santander. He's probably going back to Spanish football soon.

Anyone watched that U21 Euro Final? Spain owned the game! 2-0. Check out this video and pay attention to the wonder 2nd goal by Barcelona player Thiago.

Blue Jays on July 6th is the one I'm going to. It's winnable, but you know Toronto will either get blown away or make it tight.

Oh cool, it's coming up soon then. I think it'll be a closer series than the last one, usually we don't put up such huge offensive numbers...

Even if they lose, lots of the fun about Fenway is the experience and culture around it. Will be sad if they ever move out of there, seems like stadiums in the heart of the city are becoming a thing of the past

Switzerland had a couple of good chances too, Spain didn't 'own' as much as usually.

Relatively speaking, I agree with you. I was just happy to see a great performance, as they are the only team to have scored against Switzerland at all this whole cup. Though Switzerland lost a couple of good opportunities, I believe Spain missed a couple of opportunities as well. Good game.

Next up, USA vs Mexico :0 Nice to have a few cool games to tide us over till next season.

So it should be obvious that the midfield should be Cabrera, Enriquez, and Jona. Fabian, Gio, and De Nigris (if mont. let him play) should lead the attack.

This coach worries me though.

Chelsea let go 3 backroom staff

The reason I post it is that im surprised Paul Clement was let go, he seemed pretty integral at the club under Ancelotti and got on well with the players. If AVB feels it will allow him to stamp his authority on the club better though then im all for it.

I do find it hard to believe that Lampard will be let go though, I also think it would be a bad idea. Him being a "fan favourite" is irrelevant, I think he has a lot to offer the club as a central midfielder, a lot of players under performed last year, when he got injured he was in good form and when he came back we weren't doing well. He shouldn't be made a scapegoat for that.

I do think though that it is vital AVB has authority there. And there is clearly an old boys network thing going on with the players. I'd consider dumping the likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba for that reason alone. You need unity and those players may prevent it if they decide they're not up for AVB being manager. Chelsea need to sell many and buy accordingly to be genuine contenders next season.

It's because stadiums are being expanded all the time to make room for more fans and facilities. It's expensive to buy more land in the heart of the city, just like Liverpool's problems with expanding Anfield invovle buying more land and purchasing and knocking down all the property on it.

Holy shit that is insane! Anyone have Comolli's email address? :p

Notice how he's playing all his games in 5/6 a side maximum? THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING WRONG FA! If he'd been English, he'dve been killed by some kid for humiliating them like that, probably in a 11 a side game, on a muddy field with all the adults cheering as he got his legs broke.

Yeah I know why it's happening, I just don't like it :p

Aye, neither do I. But that's the way it's gonna be I fear. Liverpool COULD build their new ground only 100 metres away from Anfield, it's a big investment, but possible to get a 70,000+ ground there. Makes me wonder why they're really considering redeveloping Anfield when it just doesn't seem like the best option long term.

Take a wild guess.

I honestly have never seen this happening before (player offering up the money). I am just wondering if it comes across as insulting or not?

I would hope not, cesc has been nothing but the perfect gentleman over all this...in the media atleast.

i reckon Arsenal should tell Fabregas that they'll sell, but only after he puts in a formal transfer request. Just to save face and make him the bad guy.

I'm no Arse fan but yeah that does come off as pretty insulting, if he really did offer that it's a pretty clear message to the fans of how badly he wants out and fans usually don't respond to that lightly, I know I wouldn't.

They should not sell. Barca has been acting terrible in this and they should just tell them to fuck off at this point.

To point out the obvious, Cesc is now in a very tricky position. :p kinda just want this whole thing to be over one way or the other. beats watching sanchez fuck about.

Arsenal are not even in debt right ? They have no reason to sell him.

Only reason its on the cards is because barca want someone to replace xavi in a few years and cesc wants to leave to go home.

After watching spain in the under 21s we might be ok with thiago (if we dont sell him :( )

Pranjic did that too, in order to join Bayern.

Why would Cesc have a clause that gives him 15% of any fee? That makes no sense to me. And if he's willing to give it up doesn't that mean it stays with Arsenal?

nothing will happen unless cesc mans up and hands in a transfer request. this thing (which obviously might be fake anyway) isn't going to change much.

if this is true then cesc is doing everything BUT asking for the transfer request. mad props.

How would arsenal fans feel about cesc doing this?
I think it's obvious what we would think of that... One day he's telling us "He wants to go to Barcelona but is happy at Arsenal and is prepared to continue playing for us" and the next week he wants to do this? Yeah, I don't believe this for a second but if it's true FUCK YOU Fabregas and all respect goes out the door.
