Yeah it looks like he just doesn't think quickly enough and always ends up costing a goal or two in each match. You know it's bad when Goian looks like a world class defender compared to him.

I think a big part of the reason Barca are playing this as they are is because Cesc is a sitting duck for them. Even if City offer 50m for Cesc he is not interested. He wants to go to Barcelona alone. That itself means they can drive a very hard bargain.

In the end I reckon they will pay up but I don't think Arsenal will get close to 50m for him. Between 35-40 and I think he will be sold. Barca and esp Guardiola want him bad though. I reckon they see him as the next captain of Barcelona.

It seems that Kenny is hell bent on signing Adam, and with Aquilani coming back then it wouldn't surprise me to see him go at all. Really hope he doesn't though, he would be great for squad depth.

We've also been linked with Diego today - not sure if it has any substance or not?

If Raul goes, I hope we buy a strong, tough tackling defensive midfielder, as well as Adam.
I also would be happy enough if Aqualani came back.

here, rooting for Spain obviously, but I won't be disappointed at all if Switzerland takes it as long as they outplay our game fair and square.

I see we're linked with Izaguirre. Never watched him. Heard he's good.

Can't say a left back is a priority, but then we are looking to offload Brown and O'Shea (and we've lost Neville) so maybe it's a worthwhile idea to buy cover unless we want to be playing Evans there as back up.

World class player. Makes runs like this every week, can take on and beat anyone to get a cross into the box. Would really hurt to lose him.. but £10-15m would do. :)

Those two would be nice however, I think Zapata was just wanting a better contract. I don't think there was any real link.
Moussa Sissoko, Yann M'Villa or my preferred option, Blaise Matuidi would be nice.

Though that word seems to have lost its root meaning and is just used as a derogatory term for all Rangers fans these days, of all creeds and colours (same as tim, fenian, etc in the reverse case). :)

I've seen him in a grand total of one game!
He's Viera-like, tough tackling, can pass well. €11m release clause from Comolli's old club.

Supports Trust pushing for rail seating/safe standing areas for domestic games in Britain (video). Would be great to see this. A return to terracing style areas as an option at football would do wonders for atmosphere with the type of fans that would gather in those sections (who at a lot of clubs already occupy a section of their own and stand the whole game anyway, which is actually less safe if it's an all-seater stadium).

Indeed. Why do Bastos and Agüero go there. It also is beyond me. Juve is a mere shadow of its former self.

Liverpool will have to contend with Newcastle for Matuidi, whose agent said that he would like to go to Newcastle. If we do get Matuidi, he wouldn't even start, I reckon. Not with Cabaye and Tiote the first choice center pairing (I believe, anyway). Tiote's good enough for me.

That cross from Didac Vilà was beautiful. To think he only played one game for us all season when Antonini was struggling to even pass the ball... At least he'll get some playing time next season as he's been loaned out to Espanyol.

EDIT: 0-2, poor Switzerland. :(
