Joe Hart was 40 times cheaper than De Gea (at his rumoured price).

And 40 times better.

Even the English womens goalies are shit

GTFO, Joe Hart is class. And damn sexy.

I went and tried the new away shirt on today. It's a nice fit around the body but the sleeves are a little baggy which ruins it slightly for me. They should have kept the fitted sleeves, just like the current kits.

It's a no go for me then, I'm tall and skinny and baggy sleeves make me look like a wizard. I contacted the City store today to try and see if they planned to release anymore of the home FA Cup shirt, but alas. I have two away shirts from last year, but no home.

My fucking girlfriend promised to get me one because she owed me a present, but wanted to wait till payday. By the time that came around, my size was all gone. Shattered. = ( Fucking girls.

Not sure if this is news or anything, but the home kit will be unveiled on July 27. The Cityguy said so in my email reply.

He's been partying a lot and that has been showing in his match performances.

so the same as his last year in barca :(

So it seems barca are trying to sign fab before monday, which suits me fine as I am ordering the away kit on monday (released tuesday) and if he signs he is 100% going on the back of the jersey. if its not done ill get pedro or puyol.

News has it that Onyewu may be heading to Sporting. He's tall which is something that we sorely need in our defense so I hope they can make this happen.

What a fucking idiot. He should have accepted the offer from Fenerbahce when he had the chance. Did he really think he'd jump into the lineup at Milan. He could be enjoying a championship and automatic Champions League football right now.

Moron.

And Everton, let fucking Yobo go. Hes happy winning things here and not happy at underachieving Everton, why make things difficult?

If you had to pick one favorite football player, past or present, who would it be for you?

Right now for me its a tossup between messi and ronaldinho. I do think in years to come messi will ultimately eclipse ronaldinho in my opinion of him.

From Man United, Paul Scholes and Ronaldo.

Other clubs, Pavel Nedved and Del Piero were always two players I loved to watch.

^ Eto'o right
It's a shame you guys had to give him to Inter of all clubs :p Eto'o with current Barca is the true dream team.

Ronaldinho really was something else and as 'effective' as Messi is I always found the former far more enjoyable to watch.

For me though it's a tossup - Henry in his pomp was simply sensational, as was, and is, Christiano Ronaldo. But maybe, just maybe, Zidane was the greatest I've ever seen.

That's an easy one, Bergkamp all the way.

Bit of bias picking a fellow Northern Irishman (and ex-United player) and I know it's always said, but what he did then on those pitches with those boots and balls was simply astounding.

Best striker in my lifetime at sunderland, won the golden boot and the european golden boot in 99/00 season.
I remember playing Football Manager 00/01 or a year or two before, and his stats were unbelievable. I questioned why he wasn't a utilised member of the England squad back then, and it still confuses me to this day...

My pick: Ryan Giggs, closely followed by Paul Scholes.

Apparently we turned down a £10m bid for Diaby from a Turkish club.

We must be mad, Diaby only plays once a month because he's injured, he has talent but he'll never do well here because he doesn't play enough games.

Tobias Linderoth.

Dude was fucking crazy on the pitch and the most calm and cool guy when not playing football. He helped us to our first champions league campaign and is one of the most important players we have ever had, as a defensive mid he wasn't the most scoring or assisting player but there just is something about a player who pulls up his own players and yells in their face when they don't get up quickly enough and are diving.

A close second would be Sibusiso Zuma.

My favorite player of all time? I'll do a list of 5.

5. Andriy Shevchenko (sp?)
4. Paolo Maldini
3. Steven Gerrard
2. Alan Shearer
1. Robbie Fowler

Zidane is the best player I have ever seen, the touch, passing, vision and his performances in the big games are exceptional.

If I had to name some of my favourite players of the top of my head I would go for Scholes, Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Ronaldinho in the first part of his Barca career, Henry and Nedved.

Owen and Shearer were the poster boys. He got his chances but was played oddly deep iirc - he got even less chances after Shearer retired oddly enough.

This is the correct answer. But I'm also a Northern Irish man, so...

What was scary about Ronaldo is even after each cruciate ligament injury he still was one of the greatest strikers in the world. The Ronaldo at Inter, '98 World Cup, PSV and Barca was unstoppable. I was very fortunate to see him in person and watch him dispatch us so easily in 2003.

I can't imagine he's widely considered up there among the upper echelons with the very best but he was definitely one of my favourite players in my earlier years.

Kevin Philips! Now there's a blast from the past. I couldn't quite figure out why he wasn't more celebrated back then, especially in the English national team. Certainly a fine striker on his day.

I still cannot fathom why he was sold. A real mystery to me. Just imagine today's Barca with Eto'o in the side? I also don't see why they're going after Fabregas this hard when Bisquets-Xavi-Iniesta works so perfectly and Thiago is so much real deal - I've been watching him through the U21 tournament and his awareness, touch and passing is ridiculously smooth and well-suited for Barca's style of play.

Why what was he doing wrong? his tricks not as effective anymore?
He returned to Brazil and basically made an auction. Highest bidder would get him. Flamengo, Corinthians, Palmeiras and Gremio (his first team) were fighting for him. Ronaldinho's brother said he had agreed with a team, and then took the proposal to another team to get an even higher one, and so on. The "auction" were so absurd that Palmeiras and Gremio ended refusing to hire him, while Flamengo made a bigger proposal than Corinthians.

Now Ronaldinho has one of the highest salaries of the world, and he's not showing not even a glimpse of what he was at Barça. He's slow, his tricks aren't working, he loose the ball and make bad passes all the time.

You know, Rio de Janeiro... He's partying a lot, and some are saying that this is affecting his football. I don't think so. I think that the old Ronaldinho is gone. He could make it rain while in Barcelona, but only there. Not even in Brazil's national team he did the same. Nor in Milan, neither in Flamengo...

The ones I've seen playing, id choose Romario or Ronaldo. Romario didn't play much time in Europe, so he might not be so known by you guys like Ronaldo. Here in Brazil people discuss who was better. They're considered to have the same level (and I must say: way higher than Ronaldinho's). Thank God Romário played a lot for my glorious Vasco da Gama, and ended his career and made his 1000th goal there. :)
