Fucking legend. I loved him, although I'm no Bayern fan.

Awesome goalkeeper, batshit insane on the pitch but seems really nice and intelligent off the pitch. Did some insane saves pretty much every year and did this save in his last few months (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMvM0QPs8fg the one at ~15 seconds). Also showed incredible character at the 2006 World Cup when Klinsmann benched him. Everyone expected him to go "fuck this, I'm out" but he really took the place on the bench.

I don't know if he's my favourite player but he should be mentioned.

Aguero's agent
"Contact with Juventus has been constant. Aguero wants to move to a big club and Juventus fit this profile," Satin was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

"We are aware of the club's rejuvenation plans but that isn't enough to impede an agreement. The chances of seeing Aguero wear the Juve jersey are concrete."

Krasic and Honda, the duo back again. Nice :)

Exactly! ..Bastos was semi-confirmed a few days ago though hmm

Just imagine today's Barca with Eto'o in the side?

hell I'm glad they sold him then :p

I don't think he gets enough praise. He barely gets mentioned when people talk about favourite players.
Cruyff is before my time but his reputation speaks for itself. A lot, if not the majority, of Barca's current domination can be credited to him.

How are Juventus financing these transfers, is it just from the expected revenues from the new stadium or cash reserves?

If you had to pick one favorite football player, past or present, who would it be for you?

Right now for me its a tossup between messi and ronaldinho. I do think in years to come messi will ultimately eclipse ronaldinho in my opinion of him.

A total cock, guilty of some prison-worthy, leg-wrenching tackles that have ruined careers. He's regarded as a 'legend' by some, but generally as a giant prick by anyone not bathed in Melbourne Victory colours.

I just wanted to troll. :lol

My real favourite:

Say what you will about his off-field stuff, but on the pitch he's a true champion.

Very underrated IMO.

You have to be joking. He's considered one of the best European players of all time, the architect of Barca's success of the last 20 years, and his lack of a World Cup is still seen as one of the sport's great ironies.

On another note, my nickname at school was 'Johan' cos of all the turns I did in 5 a side.

Not bad for a centre half, heh

Interestingly El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that if Sanchez doesn't get his move to Barca, he'll just stay at Udinese rather than go to Man City. Clearly he doesn't know about their marketing award.

Well the window hasn't opened yet for PL clubs has it?
It has (Edit: sort of...see below), and it's open for another 2 months. I just can't help but get the feeling that the unsettling of player prices may prevent clubs accepting offers since they seem too low in comparison. I hope that I'm wrong since it's always interesting to mix things up a bit (especially if your club signs someone exciting!)

I guess I'm just eager for some big headlines to start appearing! ...and next season is further away than I want it to be, by so very far.

Although, in England, the transfer window formally opens on 1 July, transfers between clubs in the same association can take place as soon as the last competitive fixtures for the season have been played. However, many transfers will not be completed until 1 July because many players' contracts expire on 30 June.

It's a no go for me then, I'm tall and skinny and baggy sleeves make me look like a wizard. I contacted the City store today to try and see if they planned to release anymore of the home FA Cup shirt, but alas. I have two away shirts from last year, but no home.

My fucking girlfriend promised to get me one because she owed me a present, but wanted to wait till payday. By the time that came around, my size was all gone. Shattered. = ( Fucking girls.

Not sure if this is news or anything, but the home kit will be unveiled on July 27. The Cityguy said so in my email reply.

The other strange thing is how City Store are more expensive than JJB and Sports Direct. Also you can only buy the size 38" chest from the City Store. JJB and Sports Direct do not stock that size, I wonder if City have decided not to let them stock it. It's a pretty popular size I guess.

I cannot enjoy even one week of glory after winning a tournament before some new shit happens with Mexico.

Eight players suspended from the u-23 team that's going to Copa América for sneaking prostitutes into their hotel: Israel Jiménez, Néstor Vidrio, Jonathan dos Santos, Marco Fabián, Jorge Hernánez, Javier Cortés, David Cabrera, and Néstor Calderón. They will be substituted by Kristian Álvarez, Diego Debuen, Antonio Gallardo, Edgar Pacheco, Alan Pulido, Ulisés Dávila, and Carlos Emilio Orrantia.

As if we weren't in enough of a bad shape before. *facepalm*

Terrible but deserved, something has to change inside the FMF, i think this shows a lack of leadership in the federation, be it Justino or De Maria, too many fuck ups during their shitty administration to consider this a coincidence.

As much as I would like to bash on Compeán and De María, I really think it was the players who fucked up here. If anything, I would congratulate the coaching staff for having the balls to ban them from the tournament when it is about to begin.

We were already gonna have a difficult group stage. Now we are surely gonna get humiliated.

More Mexican suspensions... this time from CopaAmerica because of prostitutes LOL

Eight members of the Mexican national team set to play in Copa America have been sent home after a scandal involving the players bringing prostitutes to their hotel rooms.

The eight players, one of which was Barcelona defender Jonathan Dos Santos, were accused of bringing prostitutes into their hotel in Quito, Ecuador. The incident came to light after several players reported having items stolen from their hotel rooms, only have hotel security footage show the players letting in the prostitutes, as well as some would-be robbers.

Israel Jimenez, Nestor Vidrio, dos Santos, Marco Fabian, Jorge Hernandez, Javier Cortes, David Cabrera and Nestor Calderon were the eight players, all of which have been suspended from the national team for six months. They have been replaced on the roster by the following eight players: Kristian Alvarez, Antonio Gallardo, Edgar Pacheco, Alan Pulido, Emilio Orrantia, Ulises Davila, Diego de Buen and Oswaldo Alanis

Whickham medical tomorrow, £5m up front, rest in clauses + wiping out the money they owe us for Leadbitter & Edwards. Excellent deal when you look at it like that but I'm sure the tabloids and people who hold some sort of grudge with SAFC will repeat the "£13m!!!!" line ad nauseum. Gardner apparently signing tomorrow too.

Still need 1 CM, a left winger, a proven striker, 2 full backs and a centre half though.

Oh! It's the scumbag Kevin Muscat!

I couldn't recognize the bold headed Greek-wop-abra kebabra-chip shop owner from the picture.

Why couldn't you over the top no mark pygmies just say it was Kevin Muscat instead of making it into a drama. Posting up you tube vids and fucking wiki pages. 'Let's solve the mystery' pricks.........
