You know there seems to be all this talk about Arsenal losing the likes of Fabregas and Nasri, but there haven't been very many replacements talked about. I was wondering what people here thought. I know the likes of Downing and Mata have been talked about, as well as the far off hopes of Hazard, but what about if they both leave. Obviously if Cesc is gone and Nasri stays, Nasri would assumingly move to the center. But what about both? Who could we bring in that could play right away?
I have always liked Honda, and I know Wenger has too. He is left footed and can also play on the outside, but there is a big stink between him and his coach right now because he doesn't like to play on the left (sound familiar Arshavin?). It's also rumored that CSKA have put a 25 million price tag on him. Part of me thinks that if Cesc does indeed leave, our formation will change. Part of the reason we play the 4-2-3-1 right now is because of the way our midfield works. But without Cesc, it doesn't seem that this is necessary anymore. Perhaps Ramsey is seen as the replacement, and while I believe he is good enough to start, he's not good enough to completely replace Cesc. I am just not so sure. It seems as though the central play-maker is the holy grail this summer, with Man U, Chelsea and now Man City all on the lookout for one. What does everyone else think? Who are the players to look out for this summer?
