Perhaps. I'm not too sure but I think i'd rather have Ade. He's already had 6 months or so to settle in Madrid and has a good goal to minutes played ratio. He's also okay with taking reduced wages apparently.

Danish league starting this sunday, most important season for us ever as winning the league results in direct champions league group stage qualification. Can't wait but have a feeling it's going to disappoint with half a new team and a new manager after last seasons amazing season. I'm fine with it. Having VW on our home shirt and Westfield on the away is the better deal for us from an asthetic point of view. I'm not sure how having a massive blue W on the front of a United kit has gone down on their side.

Means very little in terms of the derby matches. It's a shirt sponsor and it pays the bills I guess!

I've been a long-time lurker of these threads, and made a few comments once in a while. I intend to make a bigger contribution to the discussion this year though. My allegiance is wih Manchester United. That being said, I was wondering- have we shown any interest in Keisuke Honda from CSKA Moscow? I know that he was linked with Arsenal for a little while, but with our current midfield situation, and through all the speculation about Sneijder (I personally would be surprised if he left Inter, even though I know he would be a fantastic signing), he could do big things for us. He was great against Madrid at Lyon in the Champions League, played very well in Japan's run at the World Cup (I was actually rooting for them against Paraguay), and recently he was instrumental in Japan winning the Asian Cup.

What do you guys, especially fellow Untied fans, think?

I've only seen Honda at the World Cup and I thought he was great; but I don't think we need a goal scoring midfielder. I wouldn't even be that enamoured with Sneijder after the initial omg stage, he doesn't fit into our current team. If Modric hadn't got his heart set on Chelsea - unless Villas-Boas decides otherwise - I would have loved him at United.

As the prospect of getting no-one to strengthen the midfield increases (besides Phil Jones, arguably), I'd be more interested in signing a player of his type.

I'm pleased to see the Hamsik rumour appear this evening, since he's a player I mentioned to friends months back as a potential transfer. I'm used to SAF picking up these sorts of players who aren't the most expensive available, and many of them turn out to be valuable members of the first team, or at least great bench options. Either would be fine by me.
