YES, finally got a job!

3 month contract at a law firm. 6 months since I graduated and I'm finally getting somewhere.

I know there are a few people in this thread doing law at uni, my advice once you graduate is to get your CV on the books of a legal agent. I spent 5 months by myself trying to get a job with nothing to show for it. In one month this legal agent got me 3 interviews.

Congrats!

My advice to you is get experience in as many fields as possible. There are a lot of specialist firms out there that will only really offer you one area to work in, which is fine until something happens like what is going on in PI at the moment.

Enjoy though, the first few months are amazing!

Phase 1: How to access Gaf at work.

I really enjoyed my conversion, but I sort of did it at the worst possible time when due to the economy, law firms started to take on less trainees, but legal schools were still accepting lots of people so supply of trainees would exceed demand. I've been told that this year things are starting to look up again as law firms are taking on more trainees now.

My advice is to get as much experience as possible as early as possible. Abuse any kind of links you have and don't be ashamed of doing it. The industry is still very much who you know. As much as I hate it networking is so important. Start going to events and making contact with people to get work experience before you start your conversion. I managed to get some informal work experience at Charles Russell, but this was after I finished my conversion.

Also try sending your CV off to the CPS to get work experience. Although it's criminal law, lawyers seem to be impressed by it because it is different and not many people would have it as work experience. It would help to make your CV stand out, but you would still need city law work experience as well.

I think you might be somewhat understating the career of Michael Laudrup, one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

He still got something like 8 goals and 16 assists over 2 seasons for a very poor Fulham team, doesn't seem like he did too badly even if he hardly matched his exploits at Twente. But maybe he has done significantly worse this season, I haven't been following him

I have finally found a way to make FIFA 14 enjoyable. It's not failsafe unfortunately. The secret is to let go of the sprint button while shooting, turns out this way you get the new shooting animations, which are fairly decent, to activate and the goals don't look like shit.

Too bad it doesn't work all the time and I still get FIFA 10 and FIFA 09 crap in there.

I don't think that is the problem of this team. The team as a whole didn't function, not individual players. Ruiz might bring that little bit of extra to the team. We might take the 3rd or 4th spot. I don't know.

I'd like to upgrade to an SLR that can do video but can't really justify it. Maybe in a few years time, as for all the actual photography I do it probably wasn't even worth me getting this new lens.
