That is an awesome goal. I hope our CBs put him on the deck instead of just letting him waltz through.

I'm not saying you stalled Benzema's career ffs.
I'm saying Benzema is nowhere near as good as I expected him to be at this point when he moved to Madrid. And I'm not even saying his failure to progress as expected is at all the fault of Madrid.
They weren't your fault as a club, but in the last 9 years, I'd say Owen, Woodgate, Kaka, Benzema (to an extent), Coentrao, Sahin have all either had their careers or development stall because Madrid is simply too big a club, with too much expectation, and too much competition for places. All of them would have been better off if they'd never moved to you imo
He won't get past Fernandinho.
Is Pulga always this confrontational when Barca play?
Telegraph are saying Monaco are going to sign Tom Ince in the summer.
What?
but that is exactly what you said (to an extent)
I didn't even bet the chance to get started on the likes of Kaka (sold to us injured) or Woodgate (are you fucking kidding me?) because seeing Benzema in the paragraph told me your post didn't merit a serious response
City is going to blow away Barca at home turf.
That's a novel approach.I dont actually mind losing in Manchester if we manage to get an away goal. We will blow them at Camp Nou.

I wouldn't be so sure with Toure, Negredo, Aguero, and (to an extent ) Fernandinho and Navas playing as they are.
but goat will do his thang in camp nou
but goat will do his thang in camp nou
Not if City take their linesmen with them

Re: Neymar
How does a professional athlete not know the limits of his own muscles/tendons and how to plant a foot properly? He hasn't slipped or landed awkwardly from the looks of it, he's just planted his foot at a completely incorrect angle for the lunge he was making
Won't matter what happens at the Nou Camp if City score their usual 6 goals at home.
Marotta "We know Pogba's value, we won't sell him to PSG" (full quote later)
I want to tell you, I might as well do

turned 25 not that long ago.
I look (and possibly act) like I'm 16-18
25 here too. 1988 was a good year.
i'm 25 already. ;_;
scum i thought you were in your twenties as well, haha.
I'm 25 too (July 88), but just typing that freaked me out a little. I'm getting old...
25 is the best age.
1988 was a vintage year.
pls im almost 25.
1989 man myself
Baseball.
30.7 MILLION US DOLLARS A YEAR
Justin Verlander's contract is particularly disgusting considering Detroit is fucking bankrupt.
I can't believe Meier lucked-out and gets to support 2 stupid-rich sports teams.
Man, Dodgers fans deserve it. Our owner before was fucking gross and drained the team.. very Glazers-esque. Unfortunately my NFL team (the Bucs) are owned by those guys.
Most notable was the string of real estate purchases they made upon their arrival to Southern California. They bought a pair of homes next to each other near the Playboy Mansion and another two in Malibu at a total cost of more than $70 million.
Burdened by the mortgages as well as improvements $14 million to rip out tennis courts for an indoor, Olympic-size swimming pool at one of the homes McCourt has said he took out $60 million (part of the $108 million) on the land around Dodger Stadium to pay down the mortgages.
That debt is apparently due sometime this year and may be one of the reasons why McCourt is pushing a 17-year television deal with Fox estimated to be worth more than $3 billion.
Among the other expenses listed in court documents the couple incurred: a $225,000 monthly lease of a private jet, $10,000 a month for Jamie McCourts hair stylist and tens of thousands of dollars on designer clothing for both of the McCourts.
Although McCourt argued the economic downturn hurt his financial standing, his ex-wifes lawyers pointed out he attended the Super Bowl last year and had spent as much as $80,000 on a Caribbean vacation. Even now, he still resides at a posh suite in Beverly Hills that runs about $30,000 a month.
He also has trouble explaining why two of his four grown sons were on his payroll at a combined annual salary of $600,000 despite one working at Goldman Sachs and another attending graduate school at Stanford University.
If he's going on the free to Monaco we don't get any compensation for him (we are owed 25% of his next transfer iirc)Are Monaco running out of money or something? Imagine if Tom Ince is their marquee signing.
Yes, its not your fault, but it is partially because of you. Players can't handle the pressure, and they get dropped and rotated easily because your squad has such quality backups.
Not sure why Benzema has failed to become close to world class, but the fact is he has, and its happened at Madrid
Pulga is the angriest dude ever.
Plus, they'll (hopefully) have a fit Messi playing against them, rather than the impostor who played in last season's semis
I'm a dodger fan too. We've suffered forever. I was born in 88 and that was the last championship they won. McCourt is the worst owner of all time. He took a quarter of the Dodger's charity and paid his friend a $400k salary.
Just look at this shit
I'm pretty sure he also paid someone $500k to give the dodgers good luck.
Lucas Leiva has revealed how his friendship with rival South American Premier League stars helps him feel closer to home.
The Brazil international celebrated his 27th birthday last week with a star-studded guest list for dinner in Liverpool.
As well as clubmates Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Spaniard Iago Aspas, Lucas was joined by Manchester United twin brothers Rafael and Fabio and Manchester City duo Fernandinho and Pablo Zabaleta.
The photograph of the group Lucas uploaded to social networking site Instagram provoked a mixed response.
Some fans were critical of Liverpool stars socialising with United and City players but Lucas insists there was no reason to keep their friendship under wraps.
It was a bit of a decision between us whether to put the picture out because there were players from rival clubs together but I said we should, Lucas said.
It was a nice photo and I wanted to post it. The guys from London the likes of David Luiz, Oscar, Willian and Ramires probably would have been there too if Liverpool was not so far away.
The friendship of these players is something that I really value. There is always a lot of respect between us.
Its something important, especially being so far from Brazil. I said we have nothing to fear because we are friends.
Sometimes you get abuse because some people dont understand but thats life. When we are on the pitch we all fight for our clubs. Of course we always try to defend our team. I always remember the fight I had with Rafael in the derby that means nothing outside of the pitch.
I am very happy I have people who play in other teams and are my friends outside of the pitch.
Its good to have people around like that to talk about a lot of stuff not just football. The wives get along as well and that makes their lives easier being so far away from home. We just have to show people that we are friends outside, but we all fight for our clubs on the pitch.
Lucas admits title talk was on the agenda over dinner. Man City are the bookies favourites to land the Premier League crown but the Reds midfielder insists no-one was making any bold predictions.
There were a lot of opinions but we all have respect, Lucas added. We all know that at the end the best team will win.
At the moment that team is Arsenal because they are top of the league. We will see in May who is top.
Rafa Benitez Column: I think Liverpool will qualify for Champions League ahead of Manchester United because they have no European distractions
I think it will be the season when my old club Liverpool will finish in the top four, and get back to experiencing the great Anfield Champions League nights which were very special to me. I think there will be a changing of places because Liverpool coming fourth will mean Manchester United finishing outside of the Champions League. It is hard to talk confidently about these things in a crazy British season, of course, but Liverpool will have one important advantage when January is over.
That is time. They dont have to play in Europe in the months ahead and that is a big advantage when the others are distracted by those commitments. I dont mean it is not good to be competing and pressing to win in the Premier League and Europe, too. In early 2009 at Liverpool the middle of March that year we played United, Real Madrid and Aston Villa in 12 days, won them all, scored 13 goals and conceded one. We found that precious moment when everyone was on fire and wanting to play, play, play and pushing. We had so much confidence that we could beat anyone at that time.
Liverpool have discovered confidence again, too, but three of the other teams Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are stronger, with better squads, and the time Liverpool have to refocus and prepare for the league games will be very important to them. There will also be less risk of the injuries that they cannot afford.
It is not the only factor playing in their favour, though. A lot of people talk about the strikers but do they realise how much Steven Gerrard still brings to Liverpool, because I have seen more talk this season about whether he is the same Gerrard of old as you like to say in England.
It was interesting to see him playing in the deeper regista role in the win against Stoke City, because regular readers of this column will know why I think he has the qualities to be an influence there. It is his anticipation, ability to pass long and short with incredible accuracy and also dictate the tempo. Not many players can do that.
Gerrards return is very important. He is one of the best players I have worked with; an analyser who can play anywhere and still cause trouble in the box.
don't confuse cursing with being angry, im a potty mouth :3
Commentator is this Barca match, "Man City have some great players such as: Negredo, Fernandinho, Aguero, Navas...umm...Milner."
Two interesting reads for liverbros:
Anyone who gets genuinely wound up by Liverpool players being friends with rivals off the pitch needs a word with themself
Pls. Milner destroyed Pep's Bayern
He's going to save his energy and lead England to World Cup.
JM7 shirts will sell around the world.
City will sell to Madrid for 200m

What's the deal with Seinfeld jokes?
Images are always posted in OT threads, but I never get it.
They're all non explanatory images from a sitcom from, like, 10+ years ago.
Lets use a logical deduction. Assuming you never really watched Seinfeld could you identify the 4 main characters?
If so, then you know that one of the main characters is in the photo posted. But who is that other guy????
Well the post Jupp quoted had something to do with Twitter and an intern.
Knowing that Twitter was not around in the 90's when Seinfeld aired, we are left to assume that guy that isn't the main character, the young man, is an intern.
