That's obviously about City. Obviously he can't remember Eastlands before City moved grounds. Deprived is the best word to describe it.

Thing is, The Etihad Campus and the community plans City have are more beneficial than anything the last two governments have offered that area.

Tony Blair wanted to cripple the area with his Super Casino.
Oh I knew that. I just don't know why. Or really how. He isn't doing a great job of getting his point across.

I would like to see AVB at Liverpool. I think he'd do well there

I just want him to do well either in England or against Chelsea so the media stop calling him a flop and saying he was terrible etc. He would have done a great job given time, but this was the wrong season. Should have left it until now haha.

Cheers for the link; Torres was having a moan on the pitch last night about not starting, thought that was weird.

Good News: Just got a full time position at my job for 13 bucks an hour which is just what I needed

Bad News: Need to be at training at 12:30 which means I'm going to miss the fucking final. Ugh

13 bucks?! What's that at the moment, 8 quid or something? Fair play.

I'm at work at the moment, so slow without GAF. Had a twitter talk with friends - one United fan, one Fulham and one Palace - who all said fair play to Chelsea before the Chelsea friend hopped in and started fucking moaning. Ugh. I hate my friends.

Guillem Ballague has an interview with Torres where he reveals he wants talks with the Chelsea board about his future, saying he has never been as low in feeling as he has been this season.

I cant see him staying much longer. Torres isn't young enough to be Chelsea's future once the rebuilding is done (suspect that will be Falcao), and he wont want to play second fiddle.

Independent say AVB and Frank De Boer are the frontrunners for the Liverpool job. Yes please!

Was just about to post something of the sort. Did you read this piece? It's incredible:

http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league/new-beginnings-for-liverpool-3112724.html

Worth reading even for those who aren't Liverpool fans.

I've decided I want Frank de Boer to be the next manager. Liverpool needs more Dutch representation.

Shame about Torres. I'm sure the CL victory will be a nice moment but he knows as well as anyone that he shouldn't be in the role he's in at Chelsea. Truth be told there's only ever been one manager who got the best out of him and that's Rafa Benitez. I know he gets a lot of hate, but if Juventus were interested, surely a good price figure could be had? I feel like the way Juve pass the ball, particularly Pirlo, would be just what Torres needs. But having won the scudetto in brilliant fashion, Juve surely have pick of the litter, so long as they can afford it.

Straight up AVB should have just stayed at Porto a season or 2 more. The expectations put on you by the owner of Chelsea is immense. He wasn't quite ready for that.

Yeah, that doesn't look great to me. No one should be saying that kind of stuff after winning a final (I presume this was after the FA Cup, when he went to the LFC dressing room instead of celebrating?)

Sounds like he's properly gone off on one.

You got what you wanted Nando, all of it...

Sounds like it. Who would take him though? Chelsea would get nowhere near the amount they paid for him.

I suspect that will be why he wants to speak to the board. He'll want to know he can be sold for a realistic price if he isn't going to be used how he wants.

If we re-appoint Rafa, I would be surprised if we didn't have a bit of a try on. Otherwise, he'll be going to Spain or Italy.

Could he want out?

Seems obvious enough, doesn't it? He's an emotional guy and tends to wear his heart on his sleeve in interviews.

It's hard to say what he deserves because he simply isn't as good as he used to be. Should he be playing a leading role in a club with title ambitions? Regardless, Chelsea have never been the right club for him, in football terms.

When the Liverpool fans booed him in the league game, I was really disappointed. He's harmless to us – if you can't see the regret on his face the you're blind. I'd like to have seen a positive reception. He would have really been uplifted by it I'm certain.

I can't believe Torres is 28!

He's almost as old (and risky) as RVP then! Well, maybe he's slightly cheaper, but still!

Decided to board the Germany Euro Hypetrain at full speed.

Will be fun rooting for the Dortmund players to save our asses. :D

Götze = best player ever, once in a generation talent
Schmelzer = best left back in the Bundesliga
Gündogan = Schweini 2.0
Hummels = call him Beckenbauer
Bender = he's so good, he even appears twice on the team sheet!

Hope i got it right, Phantast2k please correct me if I'm wrong.

(I hereby rescind any hostilities against Dortmund, take back every bad word i might've said about their German players and can't wait for next season to root against them again)

Bayern 2013 - Final Revanche @ Wembley (that has to be the master plan).

Huh. Well I hope he decides to stay at least one more season. In his prime age-wise and has played pretty well in the last couple of months, plus the fans have always been behind him. I hope the UCL win convinces him to stay for another season.

Torres should never have turned United when he had the chance. Sounds like he wants to be told he's first choice...or leave...fair enough IMO, shouldn't be saying that stuff now though.

You guys are funny wanting De Boer for Liverpool. First of all: no.

He said he wants to be the head coach for Ajax for at least the next 8,5 years, making it a total of 10 years. He even said, well if Barcelona wants me, they can contact me after 8 years.

Best coach we have for a long while, so get AVB or some icon from your clu...oh nevermind.

Those comments really disappoint me, firstly because we just won the CL but secondly because I think some of it seems a bit dated. AVB clearly didn't treat him right but he's played more recently, he's scored more and I get he's disappointed about the CL final, no defence for that but I think it should be clear to him we consider him the future.

I think these talks with Drogba are going to be to tell him that he's off. They won't want to risk Torres AND Drogba leaving would be a nightmare. We need a decent right winger, to go with Mata and Marin and Torres will love it.

Wait, we were ever in for him?
Before he went to Liverpool. I'm quite sure we bid for him 2 summers in a row but he said he didn't want to leave Atletico at the time.

Berbatov has had some things to say...

Reporter: 'Will you sign for City ? ' - Berbatov: 'I would never do this.Im loyal person.'

'I rejected City's offer to play in the best club in the world' - Berbatov

Berbatov about the Champions League final in 2011 : 'I felt like someone stuck a knife in my heart'

'My time in United is over and i should find another place.' - Berbatov

'Fergie is a dude, but I have my dignity' - Berbatov

'Right now i don't feel complete. I'm not a bench player, so obviously my time at United ended.' - Berbatov

'He (SAF) is honest. He knows how to talk to anyone. After meeting with him you are going out so motivated, you want to conquer the world.'-Berbatov

'My goal in my life was to reach the top and Manchester United was exactly this.' - Berbatov

'Tevez did it out of spite. But I wouldn't do something like this.I had the opportunity to sign for City, but I chose United'- Berbatov

We'll surely miss you Dimitar.

Completely agreed.

Also, Fergie is a dude LOL. Sorry it never worked out Berba, I love you.

I hope Gundogan gets some playtime this summer, one of my favourite players to watch the second half of the season.

Man, why can´t you watch it? It´s going to be so good, I love the Portuguese Cup final. Jamor is such a special stadium.

It's a special stadium and a shit one as well. Worst stadium I've ever been to. 2 bathrooms for 38.000 people, two bares, the chairs are so close to the ones on the next row that after you sit, you can't get out of your sit because everyone would have to stand up to let you pass through, the fans from both teams get into the stadium from the same two entrances which is actually dangerous when the clubs can't stand each other. It's an ugly piece of concrete from the Salazar era so you can't ask for more actually.

The question is though, if Drogba goes, and then Torres form dips again, where does that leave Chelsea?

Surely the safer option for Chelsea would be to keep Drogba, especially after yesterday, and then invest in a younger, but proven striker to ease in as first choice over the next year or two.

Hah, have fun buddy!

You'll see tears in 3D, that's for sure.

We have been on the first spot from the fourth round to round number 31 and now we have thrown it all away with one match to go, fucking spineless rent boys, disgusting. Fuck this, can't believe we have thrown away champions league. So fucking angry, feel sick, like wanting to throw up. Should probably go get wasted but I just want to lock myself in and punch the wall. Come back Ståle. :(

So Hazard is announcing he's going to City tonight.

At least it's not going to end up as a horribly long saga ala Benzema/Ozil/Sanchez.

Well that is certainly an interesting point. If we signed Hulk we would have someone who could play up front as well and not just on the right. But perhaps we would sign an understudy to him or something. Saying that, we have Sturridge who perhaps would consider he's likely to get more football if he's able to switch between playing on the wing and switching to play up front as well. He's young and had a decent season, just needs to work on his teamwork.
