Also, UEFA have confirmed a U19 Champions League is coming in 2013. It will run alongside the normal competition, knockout stages will be single legs though and the semi's and final will be held at neutral venue.

Seen the mods post and I think it's a ridiculous reason, until now I wasn't even aware anywhere it was considered a derogatory term against any sex, and from a quick Google around it seems it's only in the US that it is, or seemingly now was, a term reserved to insult females.
The meanings of words change, and no one on GAF has ever used it in a sexist way or even against another member to my knowledge.
If EviLore wants us to stop that's fine, it's his site but I want to know one way or another rather than just having one mod being against it and banning people like Wilbury or Foli in the F1 thread.

I wonder if anyone's ever felt insulted by the word in one of the football threads. For me, if someone came into the thread, got insulted by the relatively common use of 'cunt' and then didn't even bother to join the dots and figure out the different connotations of it being used by a mainly European thread/community, then tough shit to them. Oh well, not exactly hard to avoid using it. As long as 'twat' is still allowed
